Despite its flaws so far I had some fun with the game, especially the 964 Cup Car. As I have ready that they modified the handling of the Porsches I gave the 964 a go.

Man, is it me or did they change it to the worse? The sound is less aggressive and the driving feels less lively and less powered. Overall it is less of everything for me... anyone else with new impressions of the Porsches?!? (Oh, and the AI is significantly faster than before. Qualifying in career mode is ridiculous now!)
Yes to all of that. Last night I tried the DBR9 at Northampton and just like the Porsches, the handling feels more rubbery now. There's less of a connection to the track surface. And there's still stupid track limits issues.

To me it seems like they are catering to the controller crowd. I don't know who's "feedback" they're using but it clearly isn't anyone with a wheel.

With each update, they ruin some aspect of the game that was working well. That's what happened with FFB on my G923. It used to be great, now I can't feel the track anymore. They don't touch the aspects that need fixing and changing. They're lost and desperate to finish the first year of DLCs so they can end support for the game. This game died a long time ago. In fact, it was born dead.

Since it launched I have also been able to delve into Automobilista 2, Le Mans Ultimate and RaceRoom, and whilst they all have their own issues, they also highlight how far behind PMR is.
But you are talking about PC only titles, yet have a PSN signature. Presumably you have PC2 on the PS4/5... Quite honestly, at the moment, would you rather play PMR or PC2 on console?

Or, heaven forbid, GT7?!

Every fault with PMR I've read is like a trip back in the Time Machine to the first couple of years of PC2. The inconsistency between car classes, the AI, the bugs. It's Déjà vu all over again!

But SMS gave it a good two years+ of updates. And still did very little to address the inconsistency of handling or AI pace. Most seem to be very pessimistic that S4S will do anything for that long, and will merely release the promised DLC that has already been paid for by the Season Pass holders, and then fold.

So, long term, is PC2 still the better game for console players?

Also, does anyone else find the GT3s and GT4s to be super slidy and unstable? I tried the new update, and for both classes, they feel super unstable, and I can't go 10% throttle coming out of a low speed without the car wanting to put me into the wall. Just overall no grip, no stability, and no sense of being connected to the track, just gliding over it. I even tried the GTEs for comparison, and they feel significantly better.
