The Car: Spoon S2000 Race car

The Track: Tsukuba

The Rules:

You must have at least two wheels on the track at all times.
Rumble strips are part of the track.
No shortcutting.
No wall riding or collisions with wall.
No cheating.

Race Method:

Arcade Mode - Single Race. No AI. Drive on an empty track, send me your best single lap time in the end of the week via PM.

The Deadline:

Monday the 12th July. 12 PM GMT. Send me your fastest time via PM before the deadline.

Discuss T-times only.

Have fun and hope nothing happens to me during my trip :p

If thats you, it was nice of u to give me something to aim at ;)

I've done a couple of laps.
The car is a dream to drive compared to that Datsun!

T2 31.6

...and you'll have to improve that gt.db time :sly:
 
yep, i´m afraid that´s me going that slow, and let me add: I HATE Tsukuba! :yuck::ouch::irked::banghead::mad: :boggled:
i just can´t find a line there, i´ll have a few beers now and try it again and again and.....

I wouldn't say that was a "slow" time toler, its just slower than me ;)

No more splits? My T2 can't of been that good :sly:

I can get a T1 13.9
so with ideal splits I'm looking at a T2 31.3

I've got a good way of doing the last bend so I'm feeling good with this car 👍

(The tyres have got glue on them ;) )
 
i think my fastest T2 was 31,5 or something, i´ll have to study my replay 2morrow
i really don´t know what lines i should pick

the problem with the x-port is that i can´t find any dealers around here selling that thing, i have to do some search on the web for it...

I remember taking that Spoon on Fuji for a few laps a while back, it was stuck like glue to the track! I have also learned to like Tsukuba alot... afterall, most of my Best Motoring video clips are on that track and I get to see the pros driving all sorts of cars, hence showing me the line at the same time ;)
 
31.8 for me so far...

I was practicing this race, and had saved a replay before, then I got my new best time, and the total times for my previous attempt and current attempt were exactly the same! I thought that was incredible.
 
I just want to check what the rules are on this track concerning the bend before the Dunlop Bridge.

How much of it can we cut? Most laps I've got 2 wheels on the kerb, but sometimes I have 2 wheels in the grass and 2 on the kerb! Is the kerb part of the track as in "two wheels on track at all times" rule?

the way i understand the rules, yes. i also hit the grass with two wheels there.

edit: tacet, i have just ordered an x-port, i´ll let you know when i get it :dopey:
i´m looking forward to see some crazy replays

Looks like I'll be struggling to get some decent points this race. Can't manage to break T1: 14.1 and T2: 31.5. Although managed this without putting any wheels off of the track before the dunlop bridge.

👍 Enjoying this car/track Combo, best save so far has sectors of 13.924/31.285 and my best T2 to date has been a 30.977..messed up the last righthander though :banghead:
Hope to get a few more attempts in before the deadline :cheers:

And I got a good drive round the last bend...oh yeah :D

I might have another 0.2secs still to come, and that would give me a scary time.
 
NOOOOO! my pedals (wingman ff) seem to be kind of broken, the gas and brake have developed a life of their own - you can see them "flickering on and off" in the replays. not very good to improve your time!
can someone help me?
 
Technical problem in the Toler garage.

There was an article here about the DFP 900s pedals and how they didn't produce full power. I think Arwin knows how to take them apart. It might just need a spray of switch cleaner in the pots.

You probably haven't used a DS2 for a long while...:lol:

problem solved - ordered a DFP :)
hopefully it arrives in time so i can put in a few more laps, until then i´m off to vice city (mission 100%)
