You know, all this talk reminds me of a downloaded racing game I've played before. Sierra and Papyrus are best known for their NASCAR Racing series that I've played. Well, when I downloaded another (now defunct) racing game series called "IndyCar Racing 2," you get only two tracks from when CART was actually thriving. You get Michigan and Laguna Seca. But along with that, you race the car for maybe at least halfway until you find out... that you CANNOT finish the race! So, I looked online for something to lessen the length of the race so that I can complete the demo tracks. From there, it was quite fun. And since ICR2 wasn't in stores at the time I downloaded the demo, I basically had to delete it. But I did convert Laguna Seca to NASCAR Racing 1, why? Because my NASCAR copy needed a real course, and Laguna Seca crashed a bit at the corkscrew. Could never figure that out.
Anyhow, I was going to release a seperate topic, but I just remembered something. Maybe that time limit is there because it wasn't meant to be the entire game. I mean, some of you may remember that there would be manufacturer-specific versions of GT4 at car dealers. When you ordered info on the Prius or MTRC, you had a manufactuer-specific version of cars in America that you can buy. I think I got this info from PSM or GamePro. I'm not sure. But that's what I think as to why that is so restricted.
You all agree or disagree? Why or why not?
