what else??

Track like Yosemite Rally (Cathedral) gonna hard to define. There's plenty of invisible wall at a variable distance from track's edge.

I think this thread should be strictly regarding track definitions, and a separate one for the rest of the rulebook. Otherwise, too cluttered. I'll lend any assistance I can, but I don't do photo mode unless I get there by accident.

Duke cleaned it up.

Im going to start with part 1,drive the track in a nice ride and note anything that needs review.

Cruel world, what is the idea of doing a game with so much track on it .

IforceV8 : You wish to do a rules for all single track or one rules that will apply to all track. I think the second option is simple. Sorry for my lack of english here.

Standard rules will apply for each track, but some tracks have differences in the design that needs to be accounted for and noted.See next post for examples.

Part 1

Apricot Hill-standard red/white rumble strips w/dirt behind.white paving stones with no other curbing behind.white line is edge of track.no access roads

Apricot Hill Raceway (Reverse)- standard red/white rumble strips w/ dirt behind.white paving stones with no other curbing behind.white line is edge of track.no access roads

Autumn Ring-blue/white rumble strips w/ dirt behind.after T2 blue/white curbing is covered with leaves, dirt behind.white line around track is not the edge of the track.runoff areas at crossover, mini track pitlane and closed off sections marked with white lines

Autumn Ring (Reverse)-blue/white rumble strips w/ dirt behind.before T1 blue/white curbing is covered with leaves, dirt behind.white line around track is not the edge of the track.runoff areas at crossover, mini track pitlane and closed off sections marked with white lines

Autumn Ring Mini-blue/white rumble strips w/ dirt behind.broken white line at pit road exit, white line is not the edge of the track

Autumn Ring Mini (Reverse)-blue/white rumble strips w/ dirt behind.broken white line at pit road exit, white line is not the edge of the track

Beginner-blue/white rumble strips w/grass behind, white line running the length of the pit wall past pit exit is one car width from the wall-should be considered edge of track.access road marked with white line.track edge is white line

Beginner Course (Reverse)-blue/white rumble strips w/grass behind, white line running the length of the pit wall from pit in to pit exit is one car width from the wall-should be considered edge of track.access road marked with white line.track edge is white line.

Thanks Iforce, i understand pretty well now, somtime i misunderstood some meaning of a sentence or a words, in real personne it's easy, you just ask what you didn't understood, but like that, i need some practice.

I think i can take one part, should be a easy one, it's first time i'm working on that. Something like part 4.

I'll be on it.

I guess some track will required some pictures to cleary define what's out and what is not. I'm thinking about Deep Forest chicane (coming up to the first tunnel, normal direction), Fuji 2005, Autumn Ring, Suzuka, etc.

I'm taking picture of Apricot Hill right now and it's how my notes look like :
EDIT : Picturing's done. Total of 66 pictures all around the track. I agree that this track may be quite easy to define and I didn't have to take so many pictures, but we will surely have to do that for some others. Cathedral, Fuji, Suzuka, Deep Forest and some more. Regarding Tahiti Maze and Swiss Alps, the limits are the wall. I think it's the hardest job to do, looking for invisible wall, etc.

Ok i need a little help on that one.

George V Paris : Limit of the track is define by wall and invisible wall. It's considere as a rally track, only 2 car during a race, no tire wear possible and no pits. Corner no.9 is the only place on that track where you can ride 4 wheels on the side walk behind the rumble stripe (wall should be the limit there).

My question is : There is alot of invisible wall on that track, some of them are way befor barriere, some are between barriere. Do i need to take note of all those, even if they are really far from the good line ??? And as we know when there is a touch with a invisble wall there is a lost of speed, so easy to see the mistake.

The amount of work needed here is greatly impacted by our discussion in the other thread:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=1926686#post1926686

If you use the rule I propose, or one like it, for all tracks (one wheel has to connect to the yellow or white lines that mark the track), then you only need to make an inventory of invisible walls that you can still touch under these circumstances (though you have to take into account you could be racing the Jay Leno Tank Car ... so you may still need to identify most of them :D).

Hey Guy's

I can't keep on the work i was doing, my PS2 just died. I just clean it up a few days ago then it was working realy well, and yesterday i open it and nothing, not able to read the game.

So sorry about that but i will wait for PS3 to came out befor putting some money on that.
