So I downgraded mine to 400PP for the first seasonal race, I won by +20 sec. I decided to continue with the same car for the 500PP race, I managed to finish second :sly: Every car was beating me in straight but in the corner the car was like a glue. So, I upgraded my car too 450PP and owned them by +10 sec. :sly:
 
I used it to win the latest Bspec 500pp seasonal at Fuji. It is really good and very, very underrated car and its fun to drive too!

I have never used the Prowler in a seasonal race so I need to try it out. What tires did you use in both of the races and did you do any suspension tuning?
 
I just bought one right now. It's the first time I'm seeing it with it's new interior and all. I've always loved this car. It handles better than it looks, it has a nice "chunky" V6 and it sounds great.

My gripe with it is more with the stock 4 gear transmission that it have... what a horrible thing.
 
You have not tried the same as me ..
To see how good it is, downgrade it to 400PP and take to the 500PP race, you will beat Skylines ' Lancer Evos, Lotus Esprit, etc.
Plus, the interior is nice with working gauges:)
 
It is a nice handling car to drive. Give it a shot on the ring. Don't mean to burst your bubble. But every single race in any car creates the same effect because of the way PD designed the AI. You'll kill them in the corners because they aren't aggressive in any kind of turn. They'll drive to their max speed in the straights.
 
both the crossfire and the prowler are excellent cars that nobody uses.

Agree. The Crossfire might not handle as good without some proper tunning due to it being basically a "softer" Mercedes Benz SLK, but when you do, it is a very well ballanced car. The 6 speed manual gearbox, rear wheel drive and a fair V6 engine makes it an overall proper sports car.
 
The Prowler is one of my daily drivers. Great little car that is very underestimated in my opinion.
 
So...what's up with it being a standard with a working dash?

Has it always been like this, or did PD update it recently?

I also use this as a good beginners car for my friends to learn how to counter-steer, it's not too powerful and still controllable enough. This also makes it rather fun to drive IMO, and it sounds great as well! 👍

Yeah it was quite exiting when we saw this after spec II, I hope more standards will be treated (we already got the jag).

I think that in the SpecII update, they did a little "experiment"... They worked on the open top standards, in different levels of detail... The Formula GT and most open LM cars have average detail, on part with standards levels... Some cars like the Tank Car and Chaparral got a little bit more detail and the prowler its one step ahead, with working gauges, etc.

I think they were testing those to see if its reasonable or not to work on more standards...

I liked the Prowler interior. It's far from premiums, but really, really good enough.
 
I love my new prowler, now I've got 3 :D. What I don't get is why PD gave it working dials, but nothing else ? ? ? ?

👍 very true
so doesn't matter what car you use, we can always take out AI in corner
 
I always liked this car, shame I never found a decent online full tune, otherwise I´d cruise a lot on it.

Get them to try a stock BMW M3 '04 ... Gets loose really easily AND extremely easy to control in a slide or drift. Great fun!
