Isn't that just deconvolution? They do that with microscopy.

And you still can't create data that was never captured. So I'm going to suggest taking pictures in focus.

True, but the data is captured and thus is there. It's just captured blurred.

Still, I'm skeptical at how well this'll work. You really can't tell from that video, but the audience seemed thrilled. I doubt that even an extremely intelligent algorithm could deblur an image perfectly.
