PS: Sharpening....

I want know, how many of you use sharpening in Photoshop?

I looked through the first few pages of my gallery when I was just starting and I read I said: "No it wasn't all done ingame, I use PS and did some "HEAVY SHARPENING IN IT" ?!?!?!?!?

Well I kinda wonder now why the hell did I say that. Are there any positive things to say about sharpening? Who uses it? And WHY most importantly.....
 
It's good to hide some small jaggies in the pictures, I don't use it though. I mostly use softening brush to get rid of them.

But why is it called sharpening, it actually makes pictures LESS sharp... :odd:
 
I'm kinda wondering those things too....it's a bit stupid tool.....and it gets really ugly if u use it too much....
