PS2 Game recommendations?

Try Shadow Of Rome.

Both stealth adventure and gore-fest gladiatorial combat sections, with the stories intertwining.

For some reason all the pics I found online look rough and grainy, they don't in-game.

Still, it's not a perfect game. Some of the controls can be clumsy, and it's infuriatingly hard in places.

And at the end of the game (I've just finished it) there are 6, count them, 6 major boss battles in a row.

Definately worth a try though, I'd rate it a 9/10.

If your looking for some good beat up 'em action try Dynasty Warriors series

This is just me but. I say you should try Mega Man X8, or Mega Man Zero if you have a GBA or if you have the GBA thingy for a game cube. I've been playing mega man games for years! Had a crush on him just as too:embarrassed:. There a game you have get us to in order to as much fun as you can.

Edit:
I almost forgot, there a behind the preson playing kind of game.(sorry can't think of some of the words I wanted to use) But they are a good game.

Third person perspective :)

Abit offtopic, but MMZ is pretty hard.. I've been playing it the last few days and getting munched by the missions.

I'm quite shocked indeed that no one has mentioned God of War yet. Other popular titles are: Devil May Cry series, Tekken Series, SOCOM US Navy Seals series, Hot Shots Golf 3 and Fore!, and Final Fantasy X, X-2 and XI.

I played God of War, loved it, beat it, and haven't played it since.

I would have recommended it but the replayability wasn't very high. I mean, if I beat it on a harder level or something then I get to unlock....making of videos!!! Unlocking new characters and new levels are cool. Unlocking documentaries is definitely not for the average ADD gamer. I'll probably rent the sequel just because I enjoyed the story but once the story is told I doubt I will care enough to want to own it.

I'd recommend the first Matrix game if you want kind of an actiony, shoot em up, fighting, 1 driving level kind of game. Really fun, and the hacking ability only adds to it!

And I strongly, strongly recommend getting Burnout 3. It's my all time favorite game. Period. :sly: So much fun, especially if you get a friend over for a night, then you can just have fun for hours on end. I've beaten it 100% and it was so worth it. And so much fun doing it too. I wish Burnout Revenge was more like it, more arcade style racing, but still had the sweet new features in it. Burnout 3 also hold my vote for best alternative music in a videogame ever. I have every single song from Burnout 3 on my mp3 player. You'll love it.

From reading the other posts, Black seems really good, and I might give it a go as well. I think I saw a demo for it on download.com for the PC sometime, so I think I'll do that first to see how it is.

And I heard Killzone was a great game, but it tanked. Is it really that good, because it sure looks like it.

If you've got 70 bucks to blow, I recommend Guitar Hero - quite possibly the most fun and addictive game you'll ever buy. Anyone can be a rock god in this game. I really do play the guitar, but I still think it's a blast - have some friends over, get some beers and rock the hell out.

I dunno, I'd wait till the next guitar hero comes. You can have co-op 2 player mode where one person can play the bass and other plays lead guitar!!! How badass is that gonna be!!?

I also think Need for Speed: Most Wanted is a good game, that is if you feel like racing from the cops:mischievous:. But thats me, I like those kind of game.

And Mega Man Zero is not hard, not hard for me anyway, but I'm good at those kind of games.

Why not both? Pick this one up now and get the sequal when it comes out and you're music selection will be pretty full.

Almost all of my PS2 games (and I have a lot of them) are either racing games (for me) or kids games (for my kids, obviously). I will suggest some of the games I have that aren't racing games but that I also liked and played a lot:

"Stuntman" - Lots of stunt driving, and lots of fun.

"The Getaway" - You drive, you shoot, you get the bad guys, you get to know a bit of London

"Pacific Warriors II: Dogfight" - a light flight simulator, WWII based. Cheap game, but fun.

"Seek and Destroy" - a funny, kids orientated, but addictive tank game.

If your in to Mega Man at all, here is what I have.
I got Mega Man X Command Mission for my B-Day, and I have to say, it isn't as bad as I thought. It's a great RPG for a Mega Man X game.
I mean Mega Man Legends is a even better RPG, but it's for PS one.
I have way more Mega Man games then this, but if think that you mite like any of these, there the easyist I've played.

Burnout Revenge: Amazingly enjoyable, great longevity/gameplay and teriffic value.

Devil May Cry 3: Brilliant graphics. Brilliant gameplay. Brilliant storyline. Brilliant music. Need I say more? Oh yer, it's definately a challenging game once you hit 'Dante Must Die' mode.

Need For Speed Carbon:
Sure, the underground fad may be getting old, but the new 'autosculpt' featuer is amazing and will definately keep you glued for a long time.
