PS2 on computer moniter

Hey guys. I like the driving position of my wheel on my computer desk, so i want to hook up my PS2 to my moniter so i can play GT4. I know that a simple VGA-composite cable will not work because the signal has to be converted. I want to avoid converter boxes because this would be my only use for it and i don't really want to shell out $50-$100 dollars for one thing. Also, I have an ATI TV Wonder card that i cannot get to work with windows 7.

In short,
1) How can i hook up my PS2 to my VGA moniter without a converter box?
2) Are there any sub-$20 converter boxes that will do the job?
3) Can I get my TV Wonder car to work with Windows 7?

I bought an Easy Cap capture device , cost under 20 € (PS2 RGB -> usb)

Not a direct PS2 -> VGA converter as it requires computer in between.

Yep , that's the one. And yes , it works with windows 7 .
After I got the drivers installed it was almost ready , I hadto get the audio thru line in using a RCA plug for that.

Short , after seeing some trouble it worked like a charm
