So I turn on my PS3 today but instead of it booting up as usual, there's a screen prompting me to set up my internet settings. This is the first time this has happened to me long after it was already set up and had been working fine all year. I basically can't log in into my PSN because of a connection error, even though Its been acting fine all year on the same connection. Part of me thinks update 3.10 is responsible but I don't know, either way I'm just extremely upset because I expect it to work when all the right things have been done and it right now does not look like it doing so:grumpy: I'm wondering if this is happening with everyone else.

I'm going to assume that you have now taken FK's advice and rebooted your modem and router? If not, start with that.

If you have and it still won't connect, double check that all the settings on the PS3 are correct and then try a connection test to see what it's failing at.

Also, you haven't made any changes to the router lately, have you? I made a tiny change to mine that I didn't think would affect anything and forgot about it for a few weeks until my TiVo was complaining that it couldn't connect.

Yes, I tryed it and it didn't work. I pretty have all the settings the way they were before.

No changes have been made to it lately. I'm beginning to wonder if I'll have to reformat the hard drive to get rid of the update and lose all my game save data in the process, which would be brutal.

For whatever reason, I had to type in the WPA key and it worked. Soon after, I put in my PSN password and I'm back up. Thread can now be closed as yet another problem has been solved on my own:tup:
