WTF?
I had this graphical thingy since I got my ps3. It was sort of a stutter, like a vsync problem or something, vertical lines ( no more than 3 present at a given moment, usually 2), running down the screen. The defect is present in the pre-race video/scene in dirt, and sometimes in gt5:p in replay mode, mostly before it switches to bumper/cockpit camera. This is present in all of the games I've played, except COD4 and Lego Batman. The games list (no a big list :)): The Orange Box, GT5:P, Dirt, Motorstorm. And, in some tracks like Suzuka, in gt5:p, the pre-race menu ( the one with the quick tunes and the replays and the exits, you know what I'm talking about), the rendered scene in the background stutters, at least certain objects, like the , forgive me for my extremely awful english, the place where the spectators sit.

Should I complain to the shop and get a new one ( I still have a guarantee), or is it nothing to worry about.

I've got the 80 gig model, with 2 usb ports and a philips 42" 100hz fullhd tv, if that helps.

Have you tried different cables? So, if you're using HMDI cables try a different set. If that doesn't work try using SVideo or SCART. Try using a different TV.

If the problem persists then I'd say it was a faulty machine and take it back.

Good luck!

Why the duck would I buy a playstation if I wanted to use scart ? Are there any composite cables that are capable of HD, and how much would they cost. And, this is the only HD tv I've got, and that sucks.

The only reason I am not going to try out an SD tv, is because the error might only be present when the system is at full load, @ 480p the gpu would bet @ 20% load.

If you don't want help, why post? You can either try these things to see what the problem is or just send it back, your choice...........
