Hi again,

I bring you the (PAL) GT1 Starter pack for PS3 Virtual memorycard.

-All licences golden
-3 golden licence prize cars
-game progress 0%
-10.000Cr :sly:

Here's link to my (PAL) GT2 starter pack in case you would need one.

Here's a MaxDrive , (PAL) GT3 Starter pack for PS2

The idea is again that you can start right away with all licences and a few cars to play with.
You can also get these "licence prize cars" to your own save just by trading them from this save file.

I did these licence tests 17th January 2010 in a 7 hour session one by one.

Another starter pack completed, I'm happy it finally got done. :D

And here is the save file:

Thanks mate this will come in handy!! I'll be honest, I'd completely forgot you were doing this.
I'll add you on the PSN when I get a chance, probably tonight.

I'm sure there will be some that frown upon this but not me :D

This can be the lift I need to get back into GT1 again, thanks very much mate.

No chance in hell I was ever gonna be able to get all golds in everything for GT1 and 2, so this will alleviate a lot of frustration and wasted time.

Well, the GT2 pack came out about 7 months ago so It's ok not to remember everything. :sly:

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure it is possible to convert a PAL save to an NTSC save in the first Gran Turismo. Can I have your permission to do so, MadMax86?

hi all :) these packs look fantastic for getting a good start on the older gt games
on the ps3, but after i've downloaded them they're showing as corrupt :(

anyone else had this trouble and could tell me where i'm going wrong?

I tested the one above and it works just fine.
I think you haven't unzipped the file.
Once it's unzipped on a usb stick for example , it reads as PS3 folder
and not like the zipped file I named as "PAL GT1 PS3 Starter pack".

I hope this helped so that you can start gaming.

hi :) yep, once i got it onto the stick it unzipped fine

thanks very much, looking forward to using this later 👍

sorry for double posting, but i wanted it to be spotted :)

i've clearly lost the plot, because i can't get it to work. i've managed
it before with other stuff, but this one eludes me thus far :D

a step-by-step for this particular job, from some kind soul please? 👍

No problem!
1) Download the file into your computer.
2) Unzip the file (you have several programs around the web that can do this job, look for winrar or winzip).
3) After you unzip, you should end up with a folder named PS3.
4) Plug in a pen drive (or even a PSP) and just copy the very same PS3 folder that you just unziped into the pen drive, even if it asks you if you wan to overwrite, say yes.

Now, your half way there!

5) Unplug the pen drive from the computer, and plug it in your PS3.
6) Go to [Game], and scroll up until you reach [Memory Card].
7) From there, you can select the pen drive, and copy the save file to your PS3, into a memory card that you have already created.
8) Then just start the game! Make sure that the save file you just got is in the correct memory card, and that the memory card is "inserted"*.

*"Inserted" it's a virtual meaning, your not actually inserting anything, just selecting the option insert.

In the end, you should en up with the following tree folder in your pen drive:
PS3 - EXPORT
Inside the EXPORT folder relays all your PSone and PS2 save data files.

It's a shame that when I try and download it a note says no files to extract or the data is invalid or corrupted.

Try using 7zip. That advice stands for the other thread too.

First milestone reached , 50 downloads!

We're at half way to 100. 👍

So, is there an NTSC version of this and the GT2 save? Can it even be converted? If so, how?

If it can't be, there are game saves for GT1 and GT2 on GameFAQS. Just downloaded them for my PS3, and I haven't tried the GT2 save yet, but the GT1 save has all gold licenses, a HUGE sum of money, and I believe all of the "new dealership" cars in fully-tuned race-mod form. I believe its much of the same for the GT2 save.

Ok here is how you download and put on ps3.

Step 1: download file

Step2 insert usb stick.

Step 3 make a folder on the usb stick called PS3 (make sure it is exactly like that)

Step 4 make a folder within the ps3 folder titles EXPORT (exact)

Step 5 make a folder within export titled PSV (exact)

Step 6 copy the save file into the PSV folder.

Step 7 take out usb and put it into ps3.

Step 8 once on ps3 go to game data utility and then select usb stick.

Step 9 select the gran turismo 1 save file and press triangle.

Step 10 select copy and copy it to a internal memory card or (recomended : make a internal memory card specifically for ps1 game save downloads)

DONE

Hope this helped!

Thank you for trying to help but I did as you said by the letter and once it reaches to step 8, when I put my USB on the PS3 and go to game data utility, nothing shows. It says there are no saved data.
