i downloaded the update probably last december shortly after it was released, and played it for a while, and now it's been having problems (the game). it freezes after tuning a car or after a race. my disc is not dirty or scratched either, so i looked up the problem on the internet, and this is what i found....

when will they ever freakin' learn. i wanna go to their office, which is not very far, maybe 10 minutes away from my house, and burn the game infront of them. sorry about the rant, just wanted to warn anyone who's planning to buy the game to maybe just wait a little bit, or maybe not to download the patch right away until they figure things out. i paid $60 + tax for that game and now i dont even want it anymore. hopefully they fix the problem so i wont have to get rid of the game, but i don't think i'm gonna buy another EA game again. :grumpy::grumpy:👎

They made better NFS games before they got big.

Yeah, every game up to NFSHP2 was really good (I also love the orginal NFS-SE), MW redeemed the franchise somewhat but everything else has been really poor..... well on PS3 anyway..

Isn't Rock Band an EA game? I haven't noticed any troubles so far.

From,
Chris.

and what's with the Orange Bottle/Box game whatever it's called having problems too?
i was gonna buy Burnout (the new one) today, but having known that it was from EA, i just hesitated buying it. i know they made great games before, and yes i do like the original series of nfs as well. so this makes me wonder what has happened to all the greatness ? i went to the EA forums for nfs ps, and a lot of people are complaining about it. they posted a patch to 'fix the problem' but they never told anyone how to install it or how it's gonna fix the problem. i'm gonna try and download it from the ps3 since the system can't see it from the usb stick. the thing that just frustrates me is what i've read on their forums. oh well. just hope they fix it soon. i'm thinking maybe rent a different disc or maybe do a system reset if it will fix the problem. what u guys think?

LamboLP640: when did u download the updates ?

Cheers to that! My favourite ever racing game was NFS5 Porsche Unleashed. At that time, it was gave me the most enjoyment from playing; especially when playing through Porsche's automotive eras. It was around that time I got myself a racing wheel and pedal set to play it. NFS2 and NFS3 were two others of my top picks from the franchise.

i forgot about porsche unleashed. that was an awesome game. but for now i have decided to boycott EA for good :D

Orange Box was developed by Valve for the X360 and PC. Then the Valve CEO (who hates SONY or at least the PS3) handed it off to some EA developers and said "Hey, makes this run on a PS3." EA+porting=Orange Box for PS3.

jgda9rs, don't hesitate yourself buying Burnout: Paradise. I know I wouldn't!!! :D After all, the game was totally made by Criterion Games, EA only just supports the fundings. Just remember, if there is any game thats not 100% made by EA, my safe bet is that it doesn't suck. 👍 (or that it doesn't suck as bad as EA produced games......)

If anyone hasn't noticed all EA's good console games outside of RTS' are not made in house by EA. They also take more than 10 months to be put together.

and ? what's the point there? they still suck. their nfs carbon has to be one of the most jaggiest graphics i have ever seen.
