Hi,I'm having malfunctioning issues with my official Sony pad.
It works fine for a little while and then starts doing its own thing such as:
scrolling by its self, doing the button functions etc.
I've reset it many times but it only works temporarily and malfunctions again.
Any help would be great.

How old is it? Is it quite creaky and flexible? My controller is about a year and a half old now and it twists a lot if you flex it, I'm pretty sure it's the button membrane moving around independently of the main board which is confusing it. My brother tends to get a bit... Squeezy when he's playing Call of Duty, it results in him jumping, throwing grenades and so on without actually pressing anything. Not much can be done, it just happens with age (if that's the problem you're having).

Thanks for reply, your probably right,my pad will be two years old on christmas day and my brother squeezes flexes and is generally rough on pads playing GT5,RedDead etc.

You might have meant this by "reset" but you know there is a pin hole which totally resets the controller on the bottom somewhere? Stick a pin or paperclip in to press the little button inside.

It's ok I've already done that anyway, doesn't make any difference.
Thanks for input though.:)
