17 and I dont care for shooting games TBH. So because I dont think games are that good nowadays im a 12-15 year old. Arent 12-15 year olds who play games the most. When I was 12-15 I thought games were the best thing going.

Ahh that game looks ace but DMC 3 was cheaper lol, I'll get GOW when it's £15 or so. ATM GOW is still 30-35 :(. I'm really enoying DMC 3 though, great fun if very very silly!

Yea, DMC 3 has some crazy humor in it, and the way Dante rides around on some of the enemies is money.

GoW should come down in price within the next few months, it released about a month and a half after DMC 3, so I would assume it should go down soon I hope.


Glad to know you're enjoying DMC 3 :) I just started Ninja Gaiden over again getting ready for Ninja Gaiden Black :sly:
 
I like my old games as much as the next poser who name checks old titles to look cool, but the quality new games are simply far better. There was nothing 8+ years ago to touch games like Ico, ninja Gaiden etc. Yes there were some great games ofc.
 
You know the creators of Ico are making another game? I forget the name, but I'm REALLY looking forward to it. Supposed to be released soon here in the next half year or so.

1) It's called Shadow of the Colossus, and it looks simply amazing. It's due out end of September-beginning of October, I believe. The October issue of OPM (due out in about a month) has a playable demo.

2) I'm buying Ico tomorrow. :)
 
God of war was so good Its movie rights have already been sold less than six months after it released, thats got to be some kind of record.
 
Update on SotC: The official launch date for the U.S. is October 18th. This was revealed on the Playstation.com forums by a member of the localization team that's bringing the game to the U.S.

I noticed something interesting about Ico.. unlike most Japanese games that are brought to our shores, Ico was actually released in the U.S. first. Curious, isn't it? Shadow of the Colossus is releasing in Japan first, but only by a few weeks.

I picked up Ico today, by the way. Very interesting game, although I haven't gotten very far yet.
 
That does look like a beautiful game. I just hope the jumps arn't as corny when you're playing it as they looked on that clip.
Other than that, very very inventive.

I think all that will be fixed. From the previews I've read, it seems the game gets noticably better with each new build. Early previews complained about the stiff animation... the animation was worlds better next time they played it. Then they complained about the choppy frame rate. Blam, silky smooth the next time they played it. I'm sure all these little things will be worked out in the end. :)

That, and I think those are all little things. Ico does the same thing, I noticed. When you turn around, he doesn't actually turn around, he just *blink* is magically facing the other way. Doesn't detract from the experience. :)

Hey man... think again before you speak... I know that for about 4-5 years ago the E3 used ps2 to play dvd movies on the big screens.. NOT xbox or any dvd-player.. just a sweet old ps2 that has gotten its price as the worlds bestest dvd-drive

I think that bickering onver which system has better specs is stupid. IT DOESNT MATTER, as long as you LOVE the games you play on it. I am a fanboy....OF ALL GAMES. Be a gamer.

And as a final note, Dreamcast is one of the best systems ever made. It is because sega has quality control. Sony will license any game for their systems, while SEGA actually had standards. DC didnt have a TON of games, but almost every game was great. Try saying that about a sony system. Sony still has great games, but they have alot more crappy ones.

You what???? The PS2's dvd drive is pants compared to purpose built movie players they used PS2's for E3 because Sony PAID THEM TO, they would have just bought a load of dvd players for £30 each otherwise. My 3 year old Pacific dvd player I won in a competition at work plays movies better than my PS2, and it always has.
 
PS2 dvd drive dose what it needs to but its by far not the best, try playing the casshern dvd on one and watch it play havok with your picture :D.
 
The PS2 DVD drive sucks, I tried to play DVD's on mine and it would always say Disc Error right in the middle of the movie and it would be a brand new disc. The Xbox never ever has had a problem with playin a DVD movie, the only thing that pissed me off was that I had to buy the remote.
 
I've never had a problem with any dvd on ps2, since day one. So in my case ps2's dvd drive is good. It does what i want it to, plays dvds. Its the only dvd player I ever owned but not used.
