Nope, it was pretty much the first thing I noticed when I first got out on track. I'd take the piss filter over this any day.

What's wrong? The red tires?

What's wrong? The red tires?

It's the texture of them, all pixilated and almost cartoony. Worse than that they seem to reflect light off them weirdly too. It's just one example of the general shoddiness of the graphics, basically everything looks pants, like if you ran it on a pc and switched all the gfx settings to the bare minimum.

Looks pretty poor on the ps3, although the real tyres do reflect light to a degree.

seriously if you bought a PS3/PS3 game for "high end graphics" your doing the whole gaming thing wrong.

I guess this is their new tire shine, as after a few laps in a race it went away abit. Still compared to 2010, looks weak and half-assed.

It's worse than in 2010 and it's bugging most people - that's pretty much it, not much of a concern (for me), tho.

Exactly how I feel. I was upset over this for a total of maybe five minutes. I would dare say this is the best racing game I have ever played, in fact.

what monitor/ TV are you using?
high end or cheap rubbish?
colour gradient/ banding like that shows up a lot more on cheap panels

You guys are really that concerned over this?

Yes....yes i am

I have a pretty decent pc which could definetley run this game on maximum settings, but because my mate got this on the ps3, i decided to get it as well to play co-op championship with him, and on a bigger tv. And therfore i am pretty frustrated that the graphics especially the wheels have gone backwards from 2010.

I understand your specific situation though. But I don't have a PC, and didn't make that decision. In your case, it backfired on you, which is unfortunate.

Theres something wrong with the graphics on the PS3, From the Menus to the in game graphics

Not acceptable and somethings obviously gone wrong somewhere
Hopeful a patch can fix these bugs

Offscreen with a minicam which just added the grainy effect and the bad colors. You can slightly see the camouflage tyres - they're worse than that. Sorry you can't see the pathetic frame rate but you may admire the grandstands shadows starting together with the car in front of me, same thing at the start and end of the long DRS straight after the hairpin.
I've never seen anything so low quality on my PS3.
It's a pity I don't live in Birmingham I'd already paid a courtesy visit to Codies guys.

yes, but that tires are the last of the problems, the graphic really sucks and the frame rate.. oh god it's like 20fps on ps3. but i ond't have a good pc, neither and xbox and i love f1.. i'm jusst pissed off by the fact that i paid the game the same as xbox users and more the pc userse to be given an not acceptable crap.

The PS3 is very capable of producing beautiful graphics. Have you guys seen God of War III? Games that were designed for the PS3 tend to shine more than games that were designed around a PC. The Xbox more closely resembles a PC which is why their games tend to look a little better than PS3 in multi-platform situations. This really comes down to the developer not wanting to put in the time to make the game take advantage of the PS3's capabilities.
