what do you think? Is this a must have thing?

This is what I think.

Also, if its priced at $49.99 then over here in the UK it will be no less than £35!

I bought my bluetooth mouse & keyboard (Dell one) off ebay for about £40!!

I think I'll just stick with that.

Ugh, i would have gotten it if it was $30. Why does it have to cost the same as a new controller? That doesn't really make sense. It's a controller accessory.

I posted about this in the discussion thread - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=63832&page=533

Seems quite pricey when you could just connect like a USB keyboard which costs a few quid, its only worth it if it has other functionality or exclusively can operate with future releases That would be the key to its success... if this pad could worth with games that normal keyboards couldn't.

I bought a USB keyboard for £8 for my ps2 and still use it now, its full size as well so easy to use if you're used to a computer keyboard.

seems a little too small to me, so what it just clips onto your 6axis? no thanks a basic usb keyboard works for me

That would be a jerk move that Nintendo would probably pull. I dunno if Sony would risk fallout like that over something as silly as a keypad.

I know its a jerk move and that would be the kinda stuff big companies pull.... oh this game has keyboard support but only if you use our 'special' £50 keyboard!

But as you said sony cant afford to go angering people at the moment because things are just starting to pick up for them....

Speaking of which.... where the hell is life with playstation!!

the shark board works just as well for half the price, the only advantage is that you need a USB port for it, but it looks like it's much more convenient to remove than the sony pad.
