Hi there,
I have just found a usb dongle called Titan One that looks like it could allow all wheel support on ps4 with possibility of ffb.Has anyone heard of this unit or has anybody got one and if so does it work ?? ,as its a lot cheaper than buying a pc .
Hope you can help
Regards MIKE

Hi,
Yeah I emailed the guy who makes them and the reply I got says ffb should be supported in November time . I don't know if this is correct but if you go on the wesite and go to videos there is a set up video on how to operate the unit and on the screen there is a script for fanatec, csp pedals ! ,so possibly could be correct ! .
Regards MIKE

i have heard of this too.sounds like its our only hope for g27 users with ps4. i will hang on until november unless anybody gets one before, please tell us on here what its like

Guys, wait for the ChronusMax 2.0. It will support true FFB for all wheels on any console.

The website is here and so is the racing specific forum:

We will start working on it(full wheel support) after PS4 console to see if it was possible - a big difference. We have started working on it and it will be in the next version of CM (internally known as 2.0 and wont be ready for several months)

There is already an entire section dedicated to Racing Wheel support and current solutions - hence why i'm pretty upset when you said there were "crickets" with no news.

We have done everything we can to bring you solutions as best as possible with the current hardware. The current CM has been 3 years in development, this stuff doesn't happen over night.

The new so-called 2.0 is in development using a the latest state of the art ARM technology and is already 3 months in - I expect at least another 6 months of development, everything has been started from scratch. Until it's at the beta stage (estimated November) it won't be discussed again.

I just want a simple answer really. Is CM trying to get the X1 gamepad to authenticate as a wheel? If not, is CM trying to allow an X1 wheel to be authenticated? The second question would atleast allow us to buy TS's $99 wheel to authenticate with, but at the moment authenticating from an official wheel doesn't even work.

If the answer is no to these questions, I can piss off and never bother you guys again, because it appears that we have everything already that is possible through authenticating as a gamepad.

For the current CM the answer is no.

For the next version of CM (2.0) the answer will be YES!!!!

You don't get FFB because the console doesn't send the signals. You have the remember that you are tricking the console into thinking that your wheel is a standard gamepad. Gamepads only feature rumble motors so as the game thinks a controller is connected, it neither bothers to generate FFB signals nor does it send them.

What we are attempting to do, is mask the CronusMax as a steering wheel. Then the console will believe a steering wheel is connected. The difficult part is creating a wheel output protocol which the console will accept when the authentication key comes from a controller.

There are many complicated steps we have to go through but the Techs are making progress.

If the console was sending the CM the FFB signals it shouldn't be difficult to translate them to something your wheels support.

Don't worry, we have boffin's locked away in a dark room and they don't get to eat unless they make progress!

If they do well, they get to see the sun for 10 minutes and we let then watch one episode of star trek. So they are motivated to finding a solution!

I like the sound of that. **** you M$ and Sony, and God Bless the third party companies in the community who're making a difference and who actually GIVE A DAMN!

It appears they are on the cusp of a major breakthrough, that fools the PS4 and Xbone into thinking that you have an officially supported wheel connected to your console, when in fact it could be ANY racing wheel. This is pretty exciting news.

I posted this at NeoGaf a few days ago:

i´ve been reading up on this whole dongle mess.
did i get it correct that i can use any pc wheel / controller connected to a pc via a cronusmax on a ps4 via a tool like MaxAim DI?

That is correct. And according to Picklock, there is no input lag. The only thing missing is *proper and true* force feedback support, but they have hinted that this will be included in the upcoming version 2.0 of ChronusMax. *IF* they succeed, then I suspect it is going to be a real game changer, and will actually help sell a lot more Xbones and PS4s.

What they've already accomplished with MaxAim DI is simply incredible. That really opens the doors for all kinds of possibilities. It essentially allows you the freedom you already have with your PC controller options, and brings that over to the console space:

Have an old defunct Logitech or Microsoft steering wheel that was made 20 years ago that works only on PC? No problem.....if it works on PC then it'll work on the PS4/XBone.

Have a set of industrial pedals that are designed to work only on PC? No problem, they'll work on the console via MaxAim DI.

Want to adjust steering sensitivity of your Logitech wheel beyond what the console game allows within the game? No problem....make the adjustments in the Logitech PC profiler and you're good to go via MaxAim DI.

Want to remap your shifter buttons all around to something totally different? MaxAim DI allows this and then some.

It really is amazing and I'm very excited to see that's in store for the new version.

I am saving up for Berney's wheel and *if* can get one sometime next year, and find out that it will fully work with a PS4 and Xbox One via the new CM 2.0, I'd probably be willing to go as far actually buying both new gen consoles and actually gasp.....return to console racing.

But those are big ifs so we'll see ;)

Hi again,
Was thinking last night ,if you connect a pc to upload into this unit I wonder would you download pc wheel drivers and upload into the dongle then have ps4 connected via micro usb and away you go !!!!

Interesting, so I'd set up my DFGT with the Logitech software already on my PC or with Titan One software? Very confusing but promising, I'll keep an eye out for the update and feedback after that

Hi ,
What I'm thinking is download the driver onto the dongle as on the website there are things called scripts which can be installed onto the dongle so possibly a g27 script could be installed ???

My issue with the Titan, is it might work at first but maybe Sony will download a software update that renders it useless (Security and all that).

OK guys, it appears I ***MAY*** have egg on my face. My rush to ardently promote and defend the ChronusMax *MAY* have been premature, after having read jwm2's post over at the following neogaf thread:

Of particular interest is the quoted comments in my post, and my follow up response to his claims.

Have been reading about CronusMax and if 2.0 does make all the PS3 compatible FFB wheels work, it hope that it wouldn't require PC being connected to make the wheel work. It's really impractical if you ask me and won't be popular as most people do not have PC next to their game console.

I own a T500RS and more interested to see if CronusMax can potentially be used to make it fully compatible with PS4 which allow you to use the Share/Option buttons and let you use the d-pad in PS4 system menu.

all of this sounds very promising.looking good for the future
My issue with the Titan, is it might work at first but maybe Sony will download a software update that renders it useless (Security and all that).
maybe.but then titan could just do an update aswell. hopefully sony wont be that childish and petty

Hi ,
Checked with website for this dongle and found out that pc req to be connected at all times
