Perhaps shop at a different GameStop.

I'd never go to GameStop for a game console. The lines are miles long for a Call Of Duty game...I can only imagine the horror it will be for a new console. :nervous:

I went and clicked the wrong option in the poll
Taken care of. 👍

I'm going to wait and see what all the specs/features/etc end up being but so far I'm strongly leaning towards sticking with my PC.

People still go to retail stores for video games?

Well those who don't live near a gamestop have to get there game from somewhere ;)

No, I haven't been playing much with this gen lately as the games coming out don't pique my interest(too much focus on online play). Maybe if GT7* looks amazing and Rockstar comes out with a RDR sequel I will pick one up but I doubt it.

*Replace GT7 with Forza 5 for Xbox 3(I refuse to call it its real name).

Same here. Won't pre-order. Seen the :censored:box one release and I'm not impressed at all. So PS4 better be a "gaming" console more so than other stuff. Until then I'll stick with PS3, 360 and PC (not necessarily in that order ;))

Just order them online, you can play video games while you buy them. You can't go to gamestop in your underwear and buy a PS4.

I'm not gonna pre order it straight away since GT6 is coming out for ps3 and the ps4 is probably going to be expensive as hell on release.

However that probably means that it is unlikely I will actually ever get the ps4. For next summer I will be saving up for a laptop for uni (mechanical engineering so need to do CAD) and for 4 years from then I will be a student (all going well with grades ;) ) so I'm guessing my funds won't stretch to a ps4.

No, not going to preorder it, and I don't currently see myself getting it at all. Haven't touched my PS3 in ages. Don't think I'll buy any other console either in the near future, except maybe a Wii replacement for the kids. It would have to be an extremely good game that's console exclusive to make me buy another console. As it stands, I'm much more likely to finally build myself a gaming rig, though I'm not even sure about that.

The only reason if preorder one is to flip it on eBay to some sucker willing to pay two or three times it's value. I've done that with a couple of things and had pretty good success at it. If I can't get one though, no worries. I haven't really seen any games thus far I want to play on it so I'll probably end up holding off on it. I suppose I need some more of it's features first though. I will end up getting the system eventually though.

I will be preordering the Xbox One though, with Forza 5 being launch title I was sold on the console. Obviously I want to know more about it, but I can't really see anything preventing me from getting the system.

I'm not pre-ordering since prices are still unknown and questions still needing answered.

With big titles still to come on the PS3, I'm unsure if the time will be right to upgrade to a next-gen console.

Yeah, see audiman has it, if they were serious about having a successful console, they would be, well launching it now or earlier, but they would've devoted/set aside development time prior to its launch, to have about a dozen great games spanning all of the genres, as it stands they're all rather bland, so they've shot them selves in the face, foot, arm and chest.

Definite no for me, just got a gaming PC recently as well and all the console information makes me happier each day I spend with the PC. The consoles so far aren't doing much for me to attract 'core' (for want of a better term) gamers who just want to play games. I'll wait til either the price comes down a bit or a game I really want comes out.
