The coolest way to present yourself in sport mode is nothing more than floating at mid-rev for a bit them blip the throttle to max revs for a moment

Tested this a few times, but it's really hard to see unless it's a race with heavy fuel consumption.

Essentially though, during the "staging" time where you can rev your engine but your car hasn't started it's auto drive yet - if you sit there and rev the whole time you're burning fuel.

Nah. Switching between LH turn signal and RH turn signal with a Harzards finale is by far the coolest way to show you're a threat and in complete control of your car to your opponents.
