Sorry about the change of name. I originally registered with this name, but couldn't find the email confirmation thingy (too many email accounts). So had to reregister. I know it, i'm stupid :O But anyway got it sorted now so i'm changing back to donbenni.

Just noticed that there isn't much happening just at this second. PR's gonna be posting the new week comp soon, and there's the co-op comp too, but i thought that if you wanted to do anything on the side, then this holden is pretty nice.
Chop it or not, this was really just an excuse to explain the name change :rolleyes:

Oh and is anyone else having problems getting into www.highresautoimages.com? i had to look to deiselstation.com for this...

Count me in. It's the school holidays over here for 1 week, I need some good activities to fill up my time(although I have 2 projects to complete :D)

EDIT : I can't get to highresautoimages.com too. :grumpy:
 
Heh heh heh, yeah man on i'm holidays too. But i've got my end of school exams during the next few weeks so i should really be revising, but hey, this stuffs more fun :D
 
Oh and dead line for those taking part is exactly a week yesterday. I'm gonna try and post the poll next Sunday with any luck, cos i ain't got a clue how to do it! D'oh

I finished my exams just a week ago (last Tuesday to be exact) and our next one is on this month, somewhere on the 20th or 26th-ish :D

yeh, highresautoimages.com was down yesterday, I don't know why. But it's back today (you can count me in on this chop...).
 
Yeah, i guess. But then again, that was a good while ago. More people joined since then, not to mention our skills improved.

Could be good to re-do one, i guess.
 
Well Holden is an Aussie make, but i'm not sure about where they're sold aside from there. I seen a Holden or too in England, but i think they were imports

Sorry about the pic being used in a previous comp, never saw it :( And anyway PR's right, rechopping a car is a great way of seeing your improvements.

And yep, highres is back online. I'm really impressed with dieselstaion.com though. Not so many cars, but good quality pics 👍

Oh and that wing over laps the rear pillars in places.

If you fix it don't make a new reply.... THIS goes for EVERYONE... I know most of you do anyway, but just edit your first picture post so us poor 56k's don't have to wait ages just to see pretty much the same pic again.

I plan on removing the wing from the car, hopefully it will look more clean. I can't decide to keep the wing or remove it from the car.....! :grumpy:
 
:grumpy: I was trying to edit my post to replace the older image with a newer one and for some reason it wouldn't accept the file. :grumpy: I removed the older one and now I can't reattach a new file. :grumpy: So I had to created a new post to attach my entry :grumpy: This is the version without that gigantic wing you saw. :grumpy:

I was having major problems finding a wing to stick on the back. My chop looked strangely thin without a spoiler on the back, it doesn't look so bad now though

Mostly ropey, but the 'bad boy' bonnet worked nicely 👍!

That valance is from a race car and it was covered in stickers. Took ages blending them out :( I really wanted the fins and the space to stick that intercooler :D
 
wow!!!! under 18, that looks REAL COOL!!! you REALLY improved the design!! the front end and the wheels add up to the look. very, very cool. the only thind id do to it was to enlarge the door, so it would seem more like a two-door

for the second one, its just ugly rice.

donbenni: The chop is nice, but the rear wing seems to be really huge. Try adjusting it a bit, I'm sure it'll look better.

wow I've seen one of those before!!! in america! some guy at Orlando speed world next to the university of central florida was racing a red one. On the back it says Lumina SS but I asked and he said it was a holden commedore. I looked it up and sure enough it was. the guy bought it out of the country and imported it. Then he sold it on Ebay!! :banghead: The guys at www.fuelslut.com 's forum saw the guy too so if ya want ask em about it. The thing was pretty quick too it ran a low 13 I think stock.
 
any place that i can upload this that wont cut down the quality? My FTP program is messed up and i cant get it up on my site.
