Week 6 is here, lets see how this will go.

Here are the rules:

- Make it a race car (obviously). You can do what you want with it, but keep it a (car name here). Race cars have sponsers (at least the company sponser), and remember, a race car, not a ricer.

- Put it into a racing environment or at least a moving environment, by changing the background or making your own by putting things in the background to make it look different.

- At least put some work into it. I dont want to see: "Here is my 10 minute chop :trouble:" or "My pathetic attemp :p" (or the like). If your not going to at least put some work into it, dont even bother at all. If a majority of people suspect that there was not much work put into the entry, it will not be posted on the poll. So if you think that someone did not try hard enough, speak up.

- When you post your final entry, put, "Final Entry" in red letters in your post so I know its your final. It makes it easier for me to put the right ones on the polls.


This weeks car is a Mazda 6, very fitting for the week.

This one has been in a battle before. DonB vs. someone else. Anyway I prolly give it an ex-tellar treatment.

Yeah, but this is for a racecar competition, not just make it better (like in the weekly, where you can rice it out, or just make it a custom lowrider thing)...

Much promise.. I've always wanted to see my family's car get chopped.. wahahaha, now I get the chance! =D

does anyone know of a radial blur/linear blur tool for the gimp? doing a racecar comp and being limited to static scenes is a real drag.:banghead:
 
Just look at car picture sites, there are bound to be pictures of cars moving. Just put your finished race car in it and add some things to the environment if you have to (depending on what kind of racecar you did) give it a more racetrack feel...
 
yeah that car was in the comp between me and don. ill do it again anyways....looks interesting.

you mean as in not the strip across the widsheild, or not the headlights, or not both?

How would you guys feel about doing a truck or a van? Just wondering, as practically everything can be turned into a racer. Didnt know if it would be too much of a challenge...
 
Let's make a minivan into a racer next round.. now THAT will be fun.. hahaha

edit: skip I think you should angle your wing so that its not tilted so much backward..... looks odd to me

it looks good, the color ans th OZs look great (maybe too big, but I remember the dtm cars of yore) but there is one thing that completely craps the car: THE NOS DECAL!!!! NOS? in a race car??? come one dude!!! get that thing offa the car!!!

Those wheels are FAR too big! It's a race car, come on, how are those supposed to turn? ;)

why of course, its tubbed!
plus, i was thinking that since the car is turning away from you, it would be towards the bottom of its suspension travel.
 
heres mine guys....havent choped for gtp for a loooonnnnngggg time. i think its okish...tell me what YOU think.

Why should he show how he did it step by step? It's obviously the same car!
 
I was really tired, and had no inspiration whatsoever. the RENOWN 6, i reckon it looks like crap. And it's meant to be grainy.

I don't think its all that bad. If the shadow was adjusted a tick in the front it would look fine.

Well, race cars have sponsers (even if its just a big Factory Sponser), and at least a number...
