Hello

I was wondering if the 4.55 stability update fixes any ongoing crash issues with GT6..

Thanks!

We can't tell from a few hours, we have to wait a week or so, to see the results, but as @Streeto said, it is really doubtful

Doubt it...
I think the PS3 patch was to block the pirate (scum) that try getting to PSN with bootlegged games.
Any ways, if it does improve the stability, let us know. :)

i have the psn version of GT6 ,never froze or had an issue at all until last night. I had my own room up and with only me in the room it froze booted me out and froze ps3.ps3 is 4 years old thats the first time it ever froze..could be a coincidence

I'm also running PS3 FAT with no problems :)

I also am too running a 80gb PS3 phatso

I'm jealous, after a bluray movie marathon weekend last year, my beautiful fatty bite the dust. never had any problems, but she went to sleep one night and never awoke :( my friend and I tried to fix her, but she was too far gone, now she watches over me in my man cave :)

I have mine right next to me right now! She died two years ago. I can't dare to trash it... It's just too damn good looking

I lost my fatty the same way, except it was a DVD marathon. I did the motherboard reflow like 8 times and got an intercooler for it until eventually the fix wouldn't work anymore and it just wouldn't turn back on. Got another 8 months out of her though.

old 40 gig phat here, had overheat issues and would shut down something to do with fan control, fan now hot wired to comp, still going and my bluray has no top parts at all but i can still put discs in and play,so this rig is still trucking:gtpflag:

My phat one died last year. I ended up buying a slim version. I kept my old one just incase i needed it for something. Then i got thinking the other day of a better way to cool it. So i have just bought 2 water cooling blocks and i am going to watercool the whole system.

I'm on 4.55, & even after PD's "Hotfix" where they say they fixed the replay issue, I'm still getting crashes after trying to load certain replays up. Hey, PD; your hotfix ain't so hot!

Not certain but anytime crashes are not wide spread it usually means something is up with either your system or the game data. My GT6 has yet to crash and I'm on a 3rd Gen 160GB PS3 fatty with 2 USB, if it was down to coding everyone would be getting these crashes. All the games upload and offload data the very same way, so for you to get crashes and a slew of others not means perhaps an issue in game data when it was either saving and messed up. For a update to mess with a few systems the anomaly is on the system itself and not the update. Data from the update is the same for millions, so either the install got messed up or something else went wrong but it's more than likely on your end and not with the update code.

All I know is that 4.55 update really did a number on GTA Online, payouts went out the window and literally had less jobs on the map to do and got no pay for completing missions. No idea what that was about at all, didn't see any issues with GT6 though, I'll check in when I rise in the morning...well afternoon it's like 5 am here.

I will try replays and see if I'm getting any weirdness. I have yet to check on that as I never had issues and would have known since I have only one replay saved since 1.02.

Being a tech support guy, this is the most accurate explanation I've seen so far. I'm the one who usually give that kind of explanatiuons, it feels great to see that there are some other people out there thinking what i'm thinking. Good Job!

I had hosted a league race tonight. (Link in signature) and we had to postpone until next week. I had lobby issues for the whole time before. There was a crash after the race, a crash before qualifying and it all went to pot so we were forced to postpone.

Now my game never loads. Never ever happened before the update.

Had a total game freezes yesterday retrying the VGT TT on Bathurst, could get back to the XMB though but when I quit, it crashed the system. Restarted & everything was ok. Running an early slim with a 500gb HDD.

my gt6 crashes all the time on old 60gb ps3, don't have time to drive a lot anyway so not worried too much

I hope there was some degree of provisioning in the latest update for the coming of GT 6s online features...

Might as well assume the class is half full considering the absence of any real information... But expect nothing.

I'm running an 80 gig fatty and I haven't had a crash yet. Skyrim? All the time, Gt6 never
Bf4 for me.crashed 6 times yesterday before I gave up :( no more gt6 issues though

Game has freezed on me 3 times this evening, but it only does it online. Can't even finish one race online before everything freezes midrace, yet I can still chat over the mic to other people in the room. The game has been slow to load every time I've booted it up this evening. I haven't had too many problems up until today.

Still no freeze or crash yet :) Smooth experience, and I spent a lot of time tuning, testing, racing in arcade and track day/cruise online :) I may have accumulate over 10,000km driving distance, and no issue.

The more I read about "crash issues" on this forum with this game, the more I see these people are using aged hardware versions.

It's not the game, it's your system. I have yet to experience a software crash.

It's a big bummer.. I wouldn't want to re-buy a ps3 again with the ps4 out.. I feel like I should just wait for GT7.. I'm happy playing GT5 in the meantime.

Btw, what model is your playstation? Mine is the launch 20gb model with a WD 250GB HDD.

I never had a crash with my Slim before the update and now. It crashes, what feels like, 500x per day.
