Thanks, I'll give it a try.Powercycle (turn it off and on) your modem and/or router, usually does the trick.

Why would I have to reset the router when I have internet ?Another one of these threads? You've only waited 30 minutes too.
Again, if stuff like this occurs, run through the quick-fixes; restarting the router/modem and possibly internet connection, and wait... 5 minutes, 15, 30, 1 hour, 2 hours, 6 hours, and if needed until the next day...
Thanks, everything is up to date.To add to above, verify that you don't need to update the firmware.
Borrowing this thread so I don't have to create a new one.
I haven't been able to connect to PSN now for a few days. Internet connection is fine but connecting to PSN times out. Any ideas?![]()
Can you believe it? I tried everything, rebooted the system multiple times and so on but still didn't work. Just after I posted this I tried again though... and it worked. Technology these days huh.
Try to connect your PS3 directly via modem.Logged out as i switched account and now it's not working again, on neither account. WTH is going on!?
I don't have a cable that long, and I don't think that's the problem as the internet works just fine and the signal strength is 100%. I eventually got online again but as soon as I log out I can't reconnect. And I just got a bigger problem as well. I downloaded and installed Uncharted 3 but the icon doesn't show. It's gone. Took ages to download so I'm not doing it again tonight.Try to connect your PS3 directly via modem.
Well, if you're sure that there's no firewall or similar making problems, ok.I don't have a cable that long, and I don't think that's the problem as the internet works just fine and the signal strength is 100%. Maybe it's the PS3 istelf that's starting to give in, I don't know. I effing hate electronic stuff!![]()
Never had any problems before, and why would an eventual firewall suddenly start to block PSN and PSN alone, in case you're right?Well, if you're sure that there's no firewall or similar making problems, ok.
Because it may block certain ports, connections.Never had any problems before, and why would an eventual firewall suddenly start to block PSN and PSN alone, in case you're right?
Still find it odd, since I can go on the internet on the PS3 without a problem. It's just PSN that doesn't work.Because it may block certain ports, connections.
Why? Sometimes it just happens.
