Alright, we all know that handheld to handheld wireless versus gaming was available, a-la the Nokia N-Gage and the new Nintendo DS. So, judging by Sony's PSP specs, it has wireless abilities as well. Now, also while reading over another article, i read about there eventually being a keyboard attachment to the PSP... Then i was thinking. Why would there need to be a keyboard for the PSP? It would be pointless on Sony's part if they were only planning to have wireless to wireless versus gaming, as it would only be probably 2 players at any one time, and if the people were close enough to each other (within 100 feet/meters or whatever the spec is) they could probably just talk to each other.
Then i started thinking about why there would be a Microphone input on the PSP (it's been stated. its in the stats.), especially if there was no reason for it.. Maybe it could be used to record music or something, a-la some MP3 players, but then again...
Online capabilities. Why wouldn't sony try to implement some sort of Online capability? Would it not be a nice feature to have, especially if you have a wireless setup at home? The PSP shows that it has a WiFi 802.11b wireless setup, which is widely supported in home/business wireless networking.
Maybe Sony has actually decided to do this. Why not make the WiFi connection configurable by the user, so he/she can easily go home, plug in a mic to the PSP (and the keyboard, if they feel inclined to type), and be online racing another person, whom could be 100 miles away, instead of 100feet/meters? This would be an ingenious idea, in my perspective.
Now all of this is just speculation, but i see this as something that could EASILY be done, especially by Sony.
But i suppose we just have to wait and find out for ourselves!
Discuss.
