The economy has been rebalanced. With the increased number of races in the game and more Chmpionships being added in place of Single Race events, there will be more money to go around, but the early game will be tighter on Credits than the vanilla game. Prize cars are all useful now, and I made it so the game can be finished without ever having to buy a car, so you'll also need less money to progress.
Looking forward to the mod!! Will there be a beta before it releases? Also, how much would a round of... for example, Dream Car Championship being won would net out, please?

There will be no pre-release version, it will come out when it's finished.
I don't remember exactly how much each Dream Car Championship race will award the player, and the prizes are still subject to change anyway, but these late game extreme events will award around 50-100k per race + a fat championship bonus at the end, and there are more of said races. Several Special Event prizes were nerfed, though, to be more in line with the rest of the game, and to match the license required to unlock them.
I've been playing GT5 almost exclusively in B-spec for 10 years. I find it really interesting to watch these races when the drivers are really competitive. I've been trying to modify the game for two years, but GTToolsSharp doesn't work on my PC at all. That's why I'm waiting for someone to do it for me. If you send me the decrypted files, I could do it on my PC, but I need the files already decrypted. If you want to help me, I'll do something that anyone can use.
I may look into B-Spec at some point, but my focus is currently on A-Spec events. It shouldn't be hard to port most changes, but some of them may not translate well, and testing them will take a significant amount of time, so the plan is to release the mod with only A-Spec changes initially, and update the B-Spec mode in the future.

Hello! I have a progress update on Gran Turismo 5 Evolution.
A new car has been added to the game, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX /Tuned, seen in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and restored from the GT5 UK 1609 QA build.
A new event has been added to the game, the Gran Turismo World Rally Championship. This 5 race event will be held on PS2 and PS3 rally tracks, the latter of which were only ever used for time trials in the game. This event replaces NR-A Roadster Cup, which is still represented in the game in the form of the Roadster 4-Hour Endurance.
On the subject of rally, the Gran Turismo Rally Special Event has been shortened, with the Intermediate and Advanced levels having 4 and 6 Special Stages, respectively. The Advanced level now has a Performance Point limit and opponents tuned around it. Collision penalties make way for Mechanical Damage, which will test the player's skill to finish each stage without crashing. Mt. Aso now hosts Tarmac rally stages.
The Gran Turismo Karting Experience Special Event has also seen significant changes, with new races across the board. To enhance the feeling of progression within this event, the Beginner difficulty will use the Racing Kart Jr. (given to the player at the start of the save), which will award the Racing Kart 100, for use on the Intermediate difficulty, and that will award the Racing Kart 125, used in the Advanced level.
Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels, respectively.
The inclusion of more races to this event was made possible thanks to the recently reverse engineered and recompiled GT5 GT Mode scripts, which allows for bigger changes to the game. The OpenAdhoc GitHub has more information on reverse engineered GT scripts, which enable in depth modifications to the games.
The off track, pylon hit and collision failure conditions have been disabled from the Top Gear Test Track Special Event.
Still on the topic of Special Events, the Sebastian Vettel X Challenge will now use the Red Bull X2011 Prototype, and it will be equipped with Racing: Super Soft tyres. This should make the extremely difficult Gold times slightly more accessible for most players.
You are no longer forced to buy a car to start your journey, once you retrieve your Racing Kart Jr. at the start of the game, you are free to enter licenses and get your starter cars that way, instead.
The Endurance Series unlock progression has changed. New Endurance Races will be unlocked with each license you acquire, offering big rewards and incentivising the player to engage in these events throughout the game, instead of them being available only in the late game.
Work on the updated text strings is being done, with English and Portuguese already finished, while Spanish will be worked on. If anyone is interested in working on different languages, let me know so I can help get started.

Português
The Garage scene has been changed, with a different background and camera angles that better show off the car model. It has been borrowed from the Dealership scene when you select the car's colour before buying.
Testing is constantly being done to find and fix any and all issues ready for the release, assuring the experience is smooth and all changes work as expected.
Remaining work includes lots of testing, designing new event flyers for the 3 new events, writing a read-me, a changelog and making an install and setup tutorial, as well as any other ideas that may come up to add to the mod. While progress is being made, there is still no ETA, one will only come closer to the release.
Thanks for showing interest in Gran Turismo 5 Evolution, I hope this mod can deliver a fresh GT5 experience.

Absolutely fantastic content!! This mod is gonna be a true delight to play! Edit: Super Soft Tires on the Redbull X?? Did these get scrapped in the game's development and re-added in the GT5 Master Mod and GT5 Evolution mod?

The Racing Super Softs were made inaccessible, but are still present in the game and can be used if you equip a car with them, be it through save editors, SpecDB modifications or event XMLs.
Will the mod, possibly in the future and if you decide to, have potentially an increased amount of events possible or do they need to be replaced like GT2/GT4 mods? Edit: Will the race editor which I think is in the master mod be accessible in your mod too?
Also, a little request if possible: Is it possible to keep the view untilted when the cars roll over, please? The sideways wobble when the car lift or rolls makes me a bit unwilling to push my car to the max due to dizziness problems that occur when the view isn't straight.

Adding events is trivial, however, I chose not to due to another mod that is currently being worked on that adds a lot of new events to the game, GT5 Rework. I also believe that not every game needs to be as big and open ended as GT4 and have an unpopular opinion that GT5's number of events is fine, they just weren't designed well (like the American "Championship" that was just two single races). I would only be open to adding more events if I could present them differently (like adding one make races inside the dealerships), but that would require some ADHOC scripting work that I can't do, I'm not a programmer.
The Race Editor will be accessible.
I don't think it's possible to change the camera behaviour when the car rolls over, so I wouldn't be able to do that.
Just a random question, Erik, is the Race Editor feature from GT5 Master Mod included in GT5 Evo capable of making events that earns the players credits or cars for winning?
So I'm new/unknowledgeable about modding, especially about the PS3 and Gran Turismo, but to anyone's knowledge, would this mod cooperate with the Rework Mod and any sound mods? Or will one mod only work on the PS3?

I'm not familiar enough with the rework mod, but as long as the only files being copied over from any sound mods are the sound files only, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to copy that over the top of this mod. With other mods it really depends what they are changing, things like adding new events, tuning parts, AI opponents etc. will mean changing the database and adding/changing files that another mod may also be using/changing, so multiple mods may easily conflict with one another when you do that.

Hello! I have another update on Gran Turismo 5 Evolution.
After some consideration, I decided to restore (most of) the cut GT5 events, meaning there are now 12 events per category, from Beginner to Extreme Series. These events were worked on from their unfinished state and have been brought up to the same standards as the other events in the mod.
I also restored the Monza 2-Hour Endurance, but as a 4 Hour race instead. Along with the restored cut events comes another new event in the Endurance Series, Eifel Castle 50 Laps, hosted on the Eifel course maker track with a randomized layout.
Event flyers have been designed by @r3n4 for all new events that required them, he did an excellent job in bringing my event flyer ideas to life in a way that feels genuine to the rest of the game.
The Top Gear Special Event has had some changes. As well as removing the failure conditions I mentioned in the last update, I changed the races around. The Kübelwagen race is now the Beginner event, otherwise unchanged. The Intermediate event is the Samba Bus race, but they're now fully tuned, and the Advanced difficulty race is with the Jaguar XJ13 Race Car.
The GT Mode save now starts with Cr. 10,000 instead of 20,000, to make the early game even tougher. The Used Car Dealership now has 50 cars, increased from 30 in the vanilla game, and used cars with a value lower than Cr. 30,000 have been made cheaper, closer to the prices seen in Gran Turismo 4, so the player can still afford some half decent starter cars.
Hundreds of changes have been made to car specifications to more accurately reflect their real life counterpart, as Polyphony Digital made some mistakes and oversights, which will be corrected in GT5 Evolution. Big thanks to TheAdmiester for letting me port over his changes from GT4 Spec II and Discord user modeewy25 for making a spreadsheet full of corrections to car specs, which has been the source of most fixes made.
The Gillet Vertigo Race Car '04 ever since its introduction in Gran Turismo 4 has been grossly overpowered, boasting 900 HP, while the real life car had 355 HP.
The Lister Storm V12 Race Car had an incorrect weight of 1438 KG, the same as the road car, while the real life equivalent had only 1100 KG, as it was built for GT2 regulations.
That's all I got for now, I'm still working on the mod and putting the final touches and polish to guarantee a stable experience. Thanks for the interest in Gran Turismo 5 Evolution!

This is the picture of awesomeness!! I'm extremely looking forward to playing GT5 Evolution Mod! Also, will there be a how-to-install along with the right settings to make it work good, please?

The installation process is the exact same as the Master Mod, but the setup is a bit more involved once you're in the game, so there will definitely be instructions for that.
i've been following this project for a while, and with each update it seems to get better and better. you've really done a fantastic job with this mod; i'm excited about everything that's coming, and have a few questions:
• given how you need licenses to progress now, do you just need bronze to reach the required xp level, or do you need gold? if bronze, then do silver and gold give you extra xp to help out?
• on the same note about licenses, does this mean you can now unlock every event in the game from the start just by grinding out the licenses?
• about the extra time cycles, you mentioned before how headlights work on spa, so have you thought about giving it the full 24 hour cycle? it'd add another night course to the roster.
• my last question is just out of curiosity, but what about the endurances when it comes to the extra events? is there a reason those aren't being restored?
i hope to start playing this soon, good luck with everything!
