Real men start every GT with a clean slate and crappy cars. It's been the tradition for centuries. Where have you been hiding?

Well then call me Sally :) I've been John 6 times before already and I'm ready to turn over a new leaf 👍

Real men have enough self esteem to allow others to make their own decisions without judging them :)

The more I think about it, I'll start off with a clean slate for a few weeks. Try the game as PD intended, but if the game format gets stale then at least PD gives us the option.

Mileage in GT4 wasn't that big of a deal for me. The loss in HP was negligible. If they have a used car garage then I hope we don't have change the oil just to increase HP. What a chore..

I've been playing GT since the beginning. I've done it that way every time, through 7 versions. Gawd forbid technology allows us a way to advance the progress of how the game works.

A ladder system, starting you out in crappy cars, would accomplish the same thing, and eliminate the need for ATM races, which have been a major annoyance for a decade. We've all been there, running the Sunday cup over and over. Everyone who played Prologue got stuck earning for their Ferrari F430 they needed to advance.

Fact of the matter is the feature has been announced. There is a ton of possibilities for how they could implement it, and it could even be done in such away that allows a traditional start to GT, while reaching a trigger point, allowing access to your imports.

A ladder system would be a fairer measure of one's driving talent, as you would advance at the pace your skills allow, and not the pace the race payouts do... or do you still need all that practice?

There's a good idea. A reasonable scenario: Earn all of the licenses and beat some of the basic championship races (requiring little grinding to buy competitive cars) and unlock the option.

yup, no need for a bumpstart in gt mode... unless your a cheater...

Unless I have an actually life:irked:, because I've never finished GT2-GT4.

If you're not playing my career mode, then don't worry, the world is not going to crumble on top of your house cause I entered the Sunday Cup with a Veyron.
