PSP, would you say it's worth it?

If you get one, make sure you get one that can do homebrew. You won't be sorry.

SNES and GBA on your PSP, FTW!

I think that's the most acronyms I've seen in one sentence.

I actually had one before. But I returned it because it wasn't worth the money. And I don't do homebrew.

Game like Tekken ,SFA3, Race Driver 2006 and Syphon Filter caused me to upgrade and I dont miss homebrew that much.

GTA VC stories
Gouls N ghoust
Jeanna D'arc
Ace Combat X
Silent Hill Origins
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
Every Extend
Lumines 2

Games I'm looking forward to, and a few older game for price drops.

Well I got one in the end, I thought it was worth it, but I do only use it to watch films when I'm travelling

I wouldnt recommend one, sure its a fun gadget but your not going to get the full potential out of it unless you spend alot more on games and accessories. I can be costly to keep your interest in it..... if you use it for wifi browsing and maybe more pda type tasks then it may have a longer life..... but the high price tag for miniturised console games and the movies rele dont make it that appealing...

I had my first try on a DS Lite today...... I do have to say that is better priced and is going with nintendos 'more fun and less graphics' philosopy. Even playing two player on the one console (like ping pong on warioware) can be quite a laugh. It also does the wifi and organiser stuff so it can in a way compete with PSP..... Me and nintendo parted ways at the advance but I do have to say its a great console! I would in this case recommend the DS.

Isnt that the case for every system ever made? If you buy a 360 Core pack its going to cost you more just to save a game and play online before even spending a dime on a game.

Not costly for me. I got 8 games(all fun and well traveled and i still play Ridge Racer) since June 2005 and 1 memory stick. I use it to its full potential and its worth every penny to me. High price for the games? a high percent of games released recently are just $5 more than the most popular DS games.

I dont recommend the DS if you like playing the type of games you've been playing on PS2, that was the whole concept behind PSP. PS2 games that are portable. The system has many good uses and the flash portal games and apps extend the systems features to a great extent.

True. But you have to put in a lot of money into the PSP to get it's full potential. $200 system + $100 memory stick + two $40 games + random accessory/UMD movie = $400. $130 DS Lite + two $35 games = $200. If you like Nintendo games in general, the DS is for you (and/or the PSP if you have deep pockets figuratively and physically), but if you hate it, stay away from it.

I sure dont need a $100 memory stick and never spent that much. And you arent forced to buy $40 games when there are $20 games. You buy games over time and thats money spent in the long run. Comparing the full potential of both just shows how short that potential is reached with DS. You get what you pay for basically.

If money is the only figure than you can't beat the DS. The new PSP pack coming out has 1GB MS 1 game 1 movie $250. I read somewhere. not sure if its true.
