Is there a US model similar to the Nissan Pulsar GTiR? Or were they Japan only? I'd love to have one. Scare the hell outta the ricers over here! :dopey:

in the UK they were called Nissan SUNNY GTi-R

the sunny in the US was refferred to as the Sentra.. but no GTi-R model ever hit your shores..

the SR20DET under the hood plus 4wheel traction made it a very dangerous adversary...

theres a Video where Vicky races in a Viper vs a tuned Sunny.. and the Sunny beats the viper....

(same engine found in the Nissan 180sx and Silvias and some other cars....

Well that sucks. 👎

On a side note, does anyone know the name of the Nissan hatchback that has headlights similar to that of the JDM S13? I know it's a crapp description but any info is welcomed. :)

Integra Type R
The one with straight headlights.

forgot to ask for more detail

3 dr or 5 dr?

is there anything on the hood like a vent or such? just flat?
is it sporty or Econo box?

any distinguishin features?

new or old?

3 door
i think theres a vent
it looks kinda sporty
the headlights are basically identicle to the straight S13 Silvia headlights
mid nineties i would immagine

Probably an S13 240SX Coupe, identical to the Silvia except the motor I think.

We get the Sentral SE-R Spec V. That's pretty good and right on par with the Civic Si, Golf GTi, Focus SVT and Lancer Ralliart.

No, its more like the way a Civic hatch is shaped.

A lot like that except it looks older and has different headlights (if I'm not mistaken).

now the pulsar gti-r may not be available state side but imitations can be made

its an RNN14. sound familiar? similar to b14 sentras and other mid 90's nissans. the inards of the gtir ( possibly the r32 inspired awd system) can be ported to its american counterparts. suspension and all.

and the horazontaly oposed sr20deT? Fits right in for fwd applications. that if you find a gti-r tranny. their known to blow alot. the head gaskets too. in fact my ic regulator too. the powerhouse takes alot of upkeep and preventive maintinence to keep from dying. but the speeds achieved is well worth the bloodied knuckeles
.
these cars are extremely rare, (intact ones that is)

No hatchback in the US. However, it may be possible to put the drivetrain into a coupe / 4door Sentra / 200SX, which would be, in my mind, one hell of a kickass sleeper.
