I'm checking my own replay and if it's Phouhon, i can say 100% it's fine.

I've honestly checked my fastest lap and it's fine. I wouldn't say this if I wasn't convinced. If you need me to check my replay (just in case a small lag moved my car in other people's replays), I will do upload it somewhere.
 
Yer upload it GV27. I would hate to see you penalised because I got a tiny bit of lag. It's so close we need to make sure and I think if one replay is clean it should over ride the dirty replay. You can email it to me and I'll upload it to my server for you if you like. murky1 at xtra co nz

Actually you could just email it to admin if you like. It's only 1.4mb or so.

I do not use Youtube at all, so I don't know how to upload stuff.

I tried extracting your .rar mate. I can see the files in the .rar but when it tries to extract it says there are no files to extract. First time that has ever happened to me.

I'm so curious because if the two replays show so big a difference (1 - 2 feet) then it's just plain obvious that there is no way you can be confident racing close side by side. Imagine that 1 -2 feet in a race situation. Disaster wating to happen.

I just downloaded my own file and it works normally. Odd.

I guess we'll just have to wait until the youtube clip is finished uploading.

Alright, I decided to check Muzz's replay and... surprisingly, it looks just like mine. Muzz, please, I ask that you double check my THIRD lap. I say this because the pictures you took look EXACTLY like my SECOND lap. I know this is getting tiring, but everything looks fine to me.

Not trying to doom you GV27. I really hope your vid shows the lap was fine. What I'm more on about now is lag and the potential consequences.

Anyway we shall let the admins decide. I hope I come in 2nd on this one.

To be honest if there is any doubt the judgement should go in the drivers favour, not the stewards.

Refresh your screen Den. I had the wrong case extension to start. PS3 uses .jpg and my camera uses .JPG

Well then I vote in favour of GV27 original time standing with no penalty. There is too much doubt so this should go in his favour.

It's been a very interesting and civilised conversation.
 
SORRY!! I was checking MY replay all along. In Muzz's replay I look really laggy. I think this should be the cause. I mean, the lag is crazy, I see the car moving left and right in a nonsense kind of way.

My replay = Smooth, looks fine. My car is on the right place.
Muzz's replay = Laggy, my opinion is that the lag caused the car to move at that particular moment and made it look like it was on the wrong place.


I actually had fun comparing pictures. It's like "How is this possible?". Oh, GT5, you'll never cease to amaze me :lol:

EDIT: I hope I wasn't rude to you, Muzz. You were faithfully explaining what you saw on your screen, while I knew my lap was fine... was feeling really worried, mate.

Maybe put some ballast on it, so that it doesn't slide so much. It's all over the place, mate; haha.

What I was most concerned about was the lack of times on the board. And I still think it looks pretty empty concidering it's Saturday... I just hope everyone will show.

Minion can't race, but I expect the rest to show! :scared:
