Campaign mode should become open ended & user friendly at some point, say once you have collected all the stars. Online is not always possible so the following should become available.

Give you total control over setting up races so you have ones that you enjoy & pay at least something for doing them, half what a similar normal campaign race pays would be fine the idea is to stop the tedium.

RACE FORMAT

1) Choose track including options, weather laps etc
2) Choose grid type, standing, single or double file.
3) Choose number of opponents
4) Choose opponents
Make a pick list of say 30 cars eligible for the race & assign them a chance to be in it.
Could do as percentage but I suggest Common, normal, rare.
a) Common cars would always take part.
b) Normal cars would take the other placing's randomly.
c) Rare would occasionally replace a normal car
5) Possibly pick the AI level (assuming works similar to GT5 B-Spec, we know there are differences in AI level) Could have it fixed or set to vary slightly so you set an average.
6) Choose tyres & wear.
7) Save the race.
8) Possibly toggle on or off allowing slight tuning of cars by AI to an agreed PP level.

Allow editing of it in the future & allow other tracks to be added on & turn it into a Championship.

My view this would allow you to set up the races as you want so they should be fun because you defined them.

Want to race FTOs Integra's & Civics without some FR saloon joining in you can etc.
Want close racing pick cars with nearly similar PP, you could use the Rare option to throw yourself a curve ball

Heck if you wanted could set up a standard GT race :)
Just select the common cars with 100 pp more than normal cars so you swoop past the "filler pack" & play catch up with the leaders.

Sorry so long but if you like this please vote we have a great handling model but sadly few good races & this would in my view make the game what it should be, infinitely playable.
Online is not always doable & just wait till we get the course maker

Seems mostly similar to this suggestion: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/event-creator.297781/

I don't know how the game could be expected to compute a fair payout when you have control over all (or almost all) of the race parameters, but I guess players will feel they should get something even for driving a race they created.

Yes similar sort of idea they need to do something, the wide range of cars is in one way GTs downfall except if they give control to the player. Everybody is different so why not let everybody make the races they enjoy be it Karts, Muscles or Group C

Giving prizes for them is simple enough just use similar criteria to what the game uses now but say pay at about half that if you want to stop people getting easy money.

Or simply base on PP value, something like
Prize = (5 x PP value) + so much a mile depending on race length (cant do laps as vary)
If wanted to high speed tracks could pay less per mile as can race quicker.

Plus say 5 x difference in PP value between you & the leader.

The idea is to enjoy the racing but a bit of money to help buy new cars would be nice & negate the need to grind.

My view prizes in this game are fine most cars pay for themselves easy enough in 10 races.
