Hey racers, i know some of you dont like the quarter mile but those of you who do, could you all post your best times in cars other than F1 and specialty race cars (i.e. only cars bought and tuned). Thanks.

10.2 w/ viper

As this is only an inquiry and not a direct challenge to compare times, and is rather broad, I am going to keep this thread in its current location, unless big_nicko intends it to be a challenge, in which case it will be moved to the spot races forum.

nicko?

The qm would be hard, the suspension may not be too hard, but the gearing and shifting would take some work. asm tcs may also factor in if allowed. long trial and error.

from experience, if i remember correctly: you have a final drive ratio of 4.11 and you get 11.455 400 meter averages, than you try 4.337 and get 11.305, but than you try 4.375 and slow to 11.408. it gets better you go to 4.225 and get 11.6, then 4.195 and 11.296, get it? now this refers to gt2 but one can easily see that the qm takes a lot of time to perfect.

A challenge would be good. But groups of cars should be arranged. Countries, drive types, hp etc. I am particularly interested in R34 GT-R's.

well, go ahead if you want and create a thread.

I'm in for a little 1/4 mile(400 m) action. Wide open no holds barred. What we call heads up racin'. Best time in Shelby Cobra is
10.1 sec.

:chevy: + :ford: = :tapedshut

Remember objects in mirror are losing !!

I've got an 11.5 with the Camaro SS. I think I can do better.

11.725 Mustang

11.525 in Lancer EVO VII, only 50,000 spent in Mods.

are you people kidding?

11's?....10's?....thats kiddie ****

RUF CTR- consistant 9'2 or 9'3

That may be so but the CTR handles with all the finesse of a poorly thrown brick. And I also spent way less than the purchase price of the CTR.

it may be a brick on the curvy road, but a better car on the drag strip, and even BETTER on dirt! :D it is KING IN RALLY!!! you stand no chance 😈

rallyruf is dead on, this car is a haus off road, wow, so fast....and it still goes WAY faster than your viper in the 1/4, who cares how much cash you spent?...the title of this forum isnt, BEST 1/4 MILE TIMES UNDER 300,000....its best 1/4 mile times PERIOD

so get a new car, or just get some skills(cause i got a viper running consistant 9'5s) and stop wasting my time with your b*tching about how much cash you spent

I'm braggin', not complainin' about how much I spent. If you are in the early stages of a game and don't have enuff to pimp out the CTR it all comes back to the dead presidents.
When you only gots a little, you gotta know how to do the most you can with the little you got.
Will consider spending 90,000cr for a turbocharger when I have cash to burn.
Further, You can win fairly easily with an outlay of 75,000 cr for a Lancer, with mods. As I recall, you race no one but the clock in the 0-400M and only get satisfaction, no cash.
I am running very quickly with My Viper also (9.6's).
You can kill a bug with an anvil, or a flyswatter. The Lancer is the flyswatter, the Ruf (good as it is) is an anvil.

are you talking about just the quater mile or rally too, cause i dont JUST do the quater mile, i just ran it once to see how it would do. Rally = no anvil, only a little blue blur gliding with ease over the dirt terrain. i use the RUF for Rally, hince my name :D Im sure your lancer is good, i personally like the WRX better, but out of all cars, the CTR is the icing on the cake to put it simply besides it wasnt THAT expensive, i just did all but the last two rallys (along w/some races on apricot) and i had enough. its all good, rally just kicks ass, thats all i have to say 😈

RallyRuf;
We could probably debate this till the cows come home. Let's agree to disagree on this point. Maybe I just can't bring myself to get a tuner Porsche that dirty
As a peace offering and for kicks and giggles, if you have the FTO LM, throw some dirt tires on it and take it to the rallies. (if you haven't already) You will be pleasantly suprised. :D
Slide the gear ratios in so you can take advantage of all six gears.
Very fast. very stable.

i think they meant non race modified cars

my R34 sky line ran a 8.43 on 400 meters, messed around with the gears for like three weeks

Dude, you've used the FTO too?? i couldnt believe it when i first used it, lots of fun and it is REALLY good at rally, but you gotta try the CTR, just for kicks, its a rush!! ill send you my settings if you ever wanna try, but i must agree with you on the FTO. but my CTR is still a little faster :D and its just soooo much fun!! YEA FOR RALLY!!! WHERE THE REAL RACERS RACE!!

Hey with the castrol supra i did it in 6.7 seconds

yea u hybrid user!

If u buy a device called a "SkarkPort" also known as an "X-Port" U can download game saves that other ppl have done. Transfering the games from the internet to your ps2 memory card. Along with game saves ppl have found a way to create cars. Like adding bits and peices of different cars together. Such as a Corvette Engine in a Honda Civic. Also there are codes when creating hybrids that alow you to get astronomicle horsepower. Such as 400,000hp. Hope this clears things up.

I'm fooling with the Boxer series (pro) Once I either win the Subara LM (Dream Cars, amatuer) or break down and buy the Ruf RGT from my meager winnings I will try the CTR in the Dirt thanks for the tip. :D

alright biatches lets see ya beat this 1/4 mile time

9.173 with a RUF CTR2 launching 3rd gear

i dont care what your hybrids and race cars i wanna hear what your street cars run

I remeber i messsed with all the setting in my R34 Skyline and somehow I got high 7's in 400m. Damn if I could only remember how i did it. The car was so weird. No it wasnt a hybrid either.
