Question about 1.05 Update

Hey guys, glad I found this place. Just bought a PS3 specifically for GT5, cant wait to start playing.

As soon as I started the game it downloaded the 1.05 update. Then it asked if I wanted to install it to the HD (or something like that, dont remember exactly). Said it would take 8GB, etc. but the game would load faster so I clicked ok. It sat there for over an hour still saying 13 minutes left and nothing happened. I exited and the game runs just fine and has the 1.05 update.

Question is, why didnt it work? Do I even need to do that, or should the game run just fine the way it is? Thanks for any help.

Anyone? Really want to install the update to the HDD so the tracks load faster. I try it almost every time I turn the game on and it just sits @ 13 mins, never moves.

Hey mate,

Ignore the time the game tells you is left to complete. It took me well over an hour to install mine 1st time round.

Did the download popped after the Seizure warning?

Installing the game will happen as you use the content as long as you have that option checked in the options menu. You can go to the options menu and try to do the full install again if you wish. No reason for it to sit there doing nothing, just a failure I guess.

As said... install game, ignore flawed timer.

The timer's way off. Just let it be, it'll get the job done...eventually.
