Hi

Just got the game yep I late but that's life.

I am using the F1 add-on wheel with my T300.
What are the main/common items I need to assign to my buttons.

I have these buttons added to set up as my default for every car so far .
kers, Drs, brake bias, headlights, look back, pit stop, motec led.

What other will I need ?

Tar in advance

I'd recommend adding a keypad (or keyboard if you have the space). A wireless one would be fine. Then you can add all the button mapping you'll ever need - the main ones to the wheel and the rest to the keypad - such as FFB adjustment and seat position movement.

Something like this with perhaps some sticky labels on the keys to show what's mapped.

Don't bother mapping headlights (unless you want to flash someone) they'll become auto on/off if you leave it unassigned (same as wipers & pit limiter) but I suggest mapping wipers as it doesn't always pick up light rain or spray off cars.

Ok tar for information.
So basically I don't need to add anything else to my wheel.
If I can I should get a key pad so I can map more buttons.

The pit limiter is useful but it'll kick in anyway if it's not mapped. Not that many cars have kers or drs so they might be be buttons you could assign to some other function.

I think it'll be a case of trying it out and seeing if there's any function you might require quicker access to and swapping it in for one you don't use very often. And if you do get a keypad there's buttons enough for pretty well everything.

I have a USB number pad which is essential in my view. These are the button mappings that I have that feel essential mixed across the wheel and number pad

Brake bias (2 buttons)
Anti roll bars (4 buttons)
Pit stop
Pit limiter
Headlights
Seat position (up, down, forward, back)
Look (left and right)
KERS/DRS
Reset car
Timer (to switch between fastest lap, last lap etc)
In car menu
