I see a lot of people use flickr to upload their photos. If you have a free account it says you can only view your newest 200 photos. Does this mean you can still upload more, but only 200 can be seen or does it mean once you hit 200 that it is? If the answer is you can upload more than what happens to the pictures that can't be seen? Do they delete or you just can't access them anymore?

EDIT: New limits are now in flickr and I basically have the same question as before. They emailed me and said everyone gets 1 full terabyte. Does that mean there is no limit on pics, but now there is a storage limit? If so what would be the point of purchasing a plan since I highly doubt that many people will go over.

As I understand it, you can upload more, but only the 200 most recent will show up in the Photostream view.

You can upload more, but 200 is the viewing ceiling for a free account. Anything you upload past that will start a new viewing ceiling of 200, i.e. for every new picture you upload the last picture will be stored on the server.

If you want to see every picture you've uploaded (say you have well over 10,000) you'll need to pay for the Premium service.

Grr, Danny. Grr.

Not sure. I thought that you could only see and manage the latest 200 pics. The older pics are still there and any link to them should still be live - but you can't manage them from within Flickr. At least that's my interpretation. I opened anothe Flickr account when neared the limit.

If you buy the premium option, you get all you old photos back.

I just wish Photobucket could be BBcode friendly.(resize option in particular)

I have 3 or 4 flickr accounts already to get around the free limit lol, but before it wouldn't even let me upload. Now it still uploads just I can't view old stuff. Not a huge issue for me if I can't get the old photos since they are just banners etc for my gt5 tune shop and I have all the original photos on my computer. I just don't want them to delete or disappear from all the places I have linked them.

They won't disappear from anywhere, and you'll be able to access them on flickr via links.:)

I've got a free account but I can still view ALL my old pictures through Flickr by putting pictures into SETS.

As long as you put your photos into "SETS", YOU should be able to view them anytime on a free account. However other people won't be able to view them FROM Flickr unless the image is linked to a page.

Lol ya that's what I was thinking. All the pics are already in my gt5 garage or photo thread anyway if i need to link more.

Mine are in sets and used to show the first picture I ever uploaded but now they keep disappearing as I upload more. Maybe they changed it.
