Question about ghost/blue lines

Ok so I actually have a couple questions. Is there an option anywhere to get rid of the blue lines or preferably change it to an actual ghost car? Is it possible to chase your ghost (if blue lines is my only option so be it) in any way with the online physics? Thanks in advance for any replies!
 
You can configure a button on your controller or wheel to turn ghosts on/off, IIRC that will turn off the blue line as well. I don't think there's an option to turn a blue line into a ghost car though.
 
And I guess running a time trial in an online lobby is the closest I'm gonna get to a ghost with online physics right?

You can toggle on/off the ghost and when your in a time trial just pause and its in the options to get the ghost car or blue lines.
