Question about how mid championship save works

Has anyone done a mid championship save yet? I'm wondering exactly how it operates.

Does it save your progress mid championship then you can exit and do anything else you like or is your only option to either totally exit the championship or finish the remaining races?

Ie if I entered the NASCAR b spec and saved after the first race am I then locked into finishing the championship or does it record the progress on that single championship and I could enter say the a spec seasonals or the dream car championship b spec and the NASCAR state will stay on the 2nd race until I resume the NASCAR championship?

I think you're locked into the Championship, I haven't tried it yet though

Its not that great when you finish one race you click on suspend race that will save your current race progress, but to keep the progress where it is it asks you to exit the game by pressing the ps button so you cant go back to your gt life menu ,arcade etc the only way to go back to these menu's is to exit the championship which will make you lose your progress ,hopefully this implementation is only temporary .
 
Right ok cheers for that, Haven't done the F1 b spec championship yet and only get about 30 to 45 min blocks to play, so if I don't fancy playing the F1 right through at least I know that id have to commit to completing it before I could do any other types of races.

My example would be a much better implementation, so hope it would be changed to this in future along with endurance mid race saves, I can't start them until I have the ability to resume them as I don't leave electrics turned on if they aren't in use it's just a waste of money.
 
ahhh this is rotten. was hoping i could change my FGT's oil. oh well might as well finish it up.

just letting u know the fgt bspec takes about 5 hours to do the whole thing.

You can trim the last race off that if you are able to win the 1st 5 races, negating the need for Suzuka.

Just make sure you start the race before you exit it, as I found out to my cost.

So I did the B-Spec FGT championship, twice :)
