I just visited the site trying to access some info but it wants me to pay for it.

My question is, does anybody pay for this service?

The just changed it about a week or so, so everything was a pay for view.

Personally I dont pay for it and i wouldnt either, you can find all of their insider stuff on free sites anyways.

No, it's not worth it IMHO. All the biggest games get free press at some point is the way I see it. Plus there are plenty of other excellent sites that don't require payment to view anything (www.gamespot.com)

Plus I think that thier reviews are always a little skewed toward the high end when High profile games come out. (Dead or Alive 3 wasn't nearly as good as they claimed...)

Well, I still seem to be able to access all their reviews and media just fine...but I'm not a paying customer. I think the best thing about IGN is there enthusiasm over the Gran Turismo series - they've always got loads of information when a new game is on the way. :)

The service is just to give you the latest news that has come out. And you don’t pay for that what IGN is selling is a magazine subscription and once you buy that you will be able to access the entire cool inside stuff. So they claim. But after a few days of what ever the news was it comes out for the rest of the people to read for free. At least I think that’s right.
