question about online PSN blocking & pub lobbies

I couldn't find anything in particular about this.

As I understand it, blocking works this way...

If you kick someone from a room, they won't be able to re-join that room, even if there's another host that's taken over.

If you block someone, they will never be able to join a lobby room that you open, even if another host takes over.

If you take over a room as host, people on your block list WILL be able to join the room.

All good so far? (I was told this is how it works, I've never actually tested it. But I've heard things that make me think it's true.)

My question is this in particular...
If you block someone, will it prevent you from joining a lobby they've created?

I have all kinds of people on my block list but still see them in rooms that I'm in (not the host of). The power is in the "host" status!

I have never and never will have anyone in my block list. They try to make me mad by trolling or whatever. I know that I am a better troll so i don't worry. There's all ways a way to get to someone. And like my signature it usually is cold

I'm pretty sure you're correct here. I once had someone on my block list and this person was hosting a lobby that some of my friends were in and I wasn't allowed to enter. I took this person off of my block list and I was able to join.

There's gonna come a time where some little prick just bugs the heck outta you, that's when I block. I don't got time for their BS. I know you can always get "revenge", what's the point? I don't stoop to someone else's level, I just block them!

Remember, "You can't beat an idiot, they'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience!".

Mean's and idiot will bring you down, and beat you, unless your a bigger idiot. There comes a time where you gotta walk away!

No one I have blocked has ever joined. But again, I only host

I don't know if friends that have blocked people are also banned from my rooms when the banning party is already there.

I'd really like to know the answer to that.

There's on person on psn I hate literally hate because of what he tried to do a few years back. He's one of those people. BUT no i do not have him on my block list. Reasons for that too

It's not even the host status it's the creator status that has the power.
I personally wish there was some mechanism to alert you somehow... like "X user is on your block list"... so you'd have a heads up on it.

I blocked my friend(for test purposes only) had him make a looby (lounge it may not work in a lobby) and a friend joined so I tested to see if I could join, it said and I quote "You were blocked from entering the room"
Which is also what it says if you get kicked and try to join back.
Can someone confirm this as I did it in 2.06 AKA a very long time ago.

The answer, is YES, it will prevent you.
According to TheRacerBoy01 & doodlemonoply.

And I'm thinking it's the same as the other way round... That it's to do with the CREATOR of the lobby - not an host that's inherited the lobby.

With a lounge... you can only join lounges of your friends... You can't have someone both added as a friend AND blocked, right?

Nope, you can still join the lobby they created. You only blocked him from the room you hosted there for the room that he created is open to everyone well until he kicks you.

Oh, I must have misunderstood the OP. Just had a re-read and Block only works if you want a specific person not to contact you in any way and unfortunately he still can join your lobby and you can join his. Lobby power are always in the palm of the hand of the Host.
