I normally tune my cars with PP levels like this. 500pp / 525pp / 550pp / 575pp / 600pp going up in 25 each time. Is this wrong to do it like this & am i better off tuning at 500pp / 550pp / 600pp as most rooms online seem to be using these settings. I find that some cars are too fast for 500pp & too slow for 550pp which is why is have the 525 bracket. I know it's down to personal preference but i just wanted to ask you all here. How do you set your tunes up for PP?

Thanks a lot :)

I usually tune my cars to real life specs if I can find them and let the PP fall where it may. Once in a while I will tune to target another popular model that everyone uses with a model that no one uses. For example, The BRZ GT300 is a popular choice for GT300 racing at 518PP. I tuned a MR-S which is not a popular choice for GT300 racing to the same PP to beat the BRZ.

We solved the BRZ problem by banning people using it ;-) Makes for interesting and closer racing.

A car will always be fastest when it's tuned for the pp you are racing it at. So the more tunes the better.

I usually tune my cars in a similar fashion of 450 500 525 550 580 600 but that's because those are the six pp levels my friends race at. as for the cars themselves ill test them at those levels (when applicable) to find which levels they excel at. For example my 05 sti is quite slow at 450 and 500 but is a rocket at 525.

I have the exact same car & at 525pp. I did have it at 500pp & also found it too slow. I needed it to go a bit faster so set it to 525pp :)

There is another element to PP tuning, you can usually increase the torque by over tuning the car and then limiting the power. Works very well on low power cars but is not as helpful on high powered cars because the extra torque just turns into wheel spin
