I just bought a Chevy Corvette ZR-1 a few hours ago. Probably all of you guys know that this is one of the select few cars that have Racing Modifications. Since I have the money to spare, I bought the RM upgrade. To my surprise, the mod only comes available in Black/White color, not unlike the Blue/White paint job i saw here . A few days ago I bought the Chevy Corvette Z06 C6, the paint job on its RM upgrade is the same. Does anyone know the cause of this?

If I remember rightly all of them become the white/black combination. You can however paint them and they keep the markings.

interesting... gotta check it out later or tomorrow. I would really love my ZR-1 RM to look like the one in the picture I saw. :D :dopey: thanks for the tip. 👍

^^^this. Also on the Vette RM it stays a two tone so just select the blue you want and it will match your photo.

say what? I can't seem to find an option where you can choose the color scheme when purchasing the Racing Mod upgrade.

There isn't one. Many of the RM cars (and TC cars) come in multiple colors. When you paint them, however, only one of the colors is painted over. Thus, automatic two-tone (or in the case of the two Corvettes, three-tone).

You have to paint the car to get the color you want. Go to GT auto, select paint car, select a color and then paint car. The front of the car will be painted that color and the rear of the car will remain the original RM color.

oh! I get it! so technically I can make a ZR-1 RM with pink/white color? :D

No.

When you put RM cars through the paint shop, the white part is painted. You'll end up with a pink/black ZR-1 RM.

Here is a picture of one of my Corvette's.

You can clearly see the white stays on the back, with a black line separating the white and the blue.

Oh.

That sucks. I'm glad I haven't bothered with the Corvette RMs and stuck with the lower-powered RMs then.

Toyota Prius.

I think the two-tone color scheme looks good on the Corvettes. These Racing Mods don't have a lot of decals in them, so an artistic paint job merits the same amount of "eye candy" points, if you know what I mean. :)

I don't really enjoy burning a paint chip on a car that gets half-painted. The R35 TC is a good case in point - though since I generally go purple, unpainted black parts are no bother. 50% of the car remaining unpainted white? No thanks.

Still, at least I've learned something already today. That means I don't have to learn anything important now :D
