Yes you can 👍

As long as you re-create the exact PSN account that the game save is from on the new PS3, you should be able to sign-in, load the game until it's ready for play, quit the game, then overwrite the new save it creates with your old game save and be good to go the next time you start the game. 👍

The above assumes that you will still be using the same regional disc as you did for the previous PS3.

Your save file can be transferred over as long as it can verify that the save's SEN account is the same (so you probably need to set up your account and be logged in before you start GT5 with that save).

However I noticed an issue when I also did this last year:

All the user-data not part of your save file (replays and photos, among other things) are locked to the PS3 console itself, and you will lose access to them, even if you used the PS3 data transfer utility. I lost my 1000km Suzuka and 4-hour Ring replays after finding this out the hard way. To make things worse, this data still exists (I can still load ghost data made before the transfer), but GT5 just won't let you access it as if it were yours, and GT5's built-in data recovery option doesn't help. Other obscure errors, such as some vehicles missing pictures (rebuild thumbnails for those), and others somehow losing colour information (I found out a racing kart and my FGT were differently coloured when I noticed their rebuilt thumbnails). Your mileage may vary.

Granted, that was a while ago, but I have a hunch this issue is still not fixed in Spec 2.0.

Always make a habit of exporting your replays that you like as you save them in game. Same goes for pictures. Each replay is a separate file in your PS3 save games folder once exported & your pictures will be in the photo section of you PS3. Copy your save, replays and pictures to an external drive and you'll have it backed up. That's what I did and I had no problem putting them back on my new hard drive. Replays and photos will always be erased when the main game data is deleted so they must be exported from within GT5 creating their own files.

GT5 will not export 1GB endurance replays however so I was going to lose out either way. But it's something to keep in mind if you want to switch consoles but have endurance-level replays. If I remember correctly even the 60-lap Grand Valley endurance produces a 465MB replay file that cannot be exported due to size.

That's strange. I wonder why there's a size limit on exporting replays (if you have the space for it)? Good to know though. That seems like a dumb oversight on PD's part. There should be no part of the game you can't save. I wonder what the actual limit is?

Well the replays and pictures isnt a big deal for me, its just the cars and the time iv spent with it. Im glad i will be able to continue my progress and have my cars, thats the priority of why i wanted to know this.

Anyways, thank you alot for the information, much love to the community for awnsering my question :)

As i have my question awnsered, should this thread be closed or should it be open for other people if they have the same question? That's up to the higher people of this forum. Thanks again.
