Fellow CSR owners; does your wheel have a small amount of play in it?

I find if I put my hands on the wheel in the 2 o'clock & 7 o'clock position and 'flex' the wheel towards the TV and towards me, there is a small amount of play in the wheel (maybe 1 or 2 mm). I don't know if I should be concerned by this.

Any feedback appreciated...

I found the same thing with my wheel; it's very slight and barely noticeable. I think what it is, is flex from the mounting screws below, but they said not to tighten them too much in the manual. I don't think it's anything to worry about, unless of course it worsens quickly.

What I did, assuming we are talking about the same thing is I placed a cut-to-size piece of cupboard lining between the wheel and area I mounted to and between the lower wheel mount and bottom area.

This has made the ''basic'' clamp much more reliable. It seems it increases it's clamping ability. The lining is only a few bucks at your local hardware store and you actually get quite a bit, so you can utilize it for other projects.

*MuchoJimbo's Tip of the Day- Try to avoid the floral cupboard lining design or at least specify to your wife if she is picking it up for you, I could have lost my man card if I was to post a pic of my Racing set-up with a floral design included.

Yes, man card would have been revoked until further review

MJ: Sorry, I should have been clearer, the movement I am experiencing is from inside the wheel mechanics (I think) -where the wheel hub joins the base unit.

I like your card solution though -I'm always a fan of a bit of Heath Robinson fix :D

I have the same "problem" with my GT2 as well. Was a bit worried at first, but it hasn't caused any issues, and I don't even notice it while playing. :)
