The whole time I'm looking at the speed and asking myself: what kind of amazing mods have been done to this car. Then I realize: I am thinking MPH!!!

Anyway, that Skyline is a great car and you seem to know how to handle it. I like the video too...how'd you record it?

I recorded it with a digital camera :) and afterwards editting in moviemaker!

The Skyline is fully tuned, it has 990 BHP (No oil change)! Speed is in Km/h!

NOTE TO SELF: Start making cool GT3 videos.

I actually have a capture card but it doesn't take movies! So I downloaded a screen video capture program and I am gonna try to capture from the capture...or just buy a new capture card. Any suggestions for what brand?

The Haupphauge Win-TV cards are all great, and cheap, too. You can easily use free software like VirtualDub to capture directly to DivX, Huffy, MJPEG, or whatever codec you want. The ATI All-in-Wonder cards are all complete crap. They have crap drivers and crap compatability in general.

I've got a capture card, but I had to take it out when I upgraded to a faster motherboard without onboard LAN :( I guess my real problem is having 3 monitors on separate video cards in the same machine :D

I have the WinTV Go card (the cheapest one), but it's program (WinTV2000) does not have video capture. There are other better programs that I could use with that card? If so, please point me in the right direction.

edit: didn't see that you already mentioned Virtual Dub. I'll d/l it and give it a try. thanks

Also, still capture quality at 320X240 is good, but larger than that the interlacing shows up bad. Is there any way to get around this?

Yes, I actually have a WinTV Go card that works great capturing in 640x480. The card has a standard Brooktree chipset, and there are excellent Brooktree drivers that make it work in VirtualDub and other VFW applications.

When you capture with a horizontal resolution of 240 (or lower), it only captures one field. That's why there's no interlacing. When you capture with a horizontal resolution of 480 (or anything over 240), you're getting both fields, which introduces interlacing.

If you just want a quick easy capture method, capturing at 320x240 straight to DivX works great. For the best possible video quality, though, you want to capture at 640x480 into a high-quality format that can handle interlaced input like MJPEG (or if you're really picky, the lossless Huffy format). Then you can process the file with VirtualDub and run it through some sort of deinterlacing filter, then scale it down to the desired size.

Anyway, PM me and I can email you the Brooktree drivers when I get home later tonight.
