Have any of you ever heard of a eyeglasses online retailer called glassesexperts.co.uk? I found a pair of glasses online one their site, and its a lot cheaper than anywhere here. I'm just trying to ascertain if they are legit or not.

Can't say I've heard of them, but then I normally get my glasses from the high street. They seem legitimate, and I may get my next set from them.

They have had an ad on tv recently, I think on dave?

They should be pretty legit, their delivery may be abit shoddy, and take ages but it would be pretty unlikely they arn't legit. They have been going since 2007 acording to the website.

I haven't heard of them either as I also just use high street opticians but they do appear legit and Google doesn't return any horror stories. They are significantly cheaper than the high street. I've just paid Ā£155 at Specsavers for a new pair of glasses and a similar frame with the same lens (1.67 index) costs Ā£121 inc delivery from that website! I'll be checking them out next time I need a new pair šŸ‘

Thanks everybody for chipping in.

I found a pair of frames here for $370 (£222) whereas on their site they are £109. Big saving. Of course the trade-off for me is the postage factor, but I might be willing to risk it!

After some digging, I am now hesitant to try this website for glasses – there are a few others –experteyes.co.uk and smartbuyglasses.co.uk that have exactly the same design. Additionally, there are .com.hk version of all 3 websites, which leads me to believe its one operation based in HK.

Which I wouldn’t have an issue with, if there was full disclosure. They seem to be trying to looking like a UK retailer, when they aren’t.

The last thing you want is a pair if glasses turning up, with the lenses made from the bottom of a milk bottle!

I need Glasses for Reading ( Old Age  ) Pound for Pound the best people , i've come across is Boots Eye Centers .

They give you a Proper Full Eye Test , theres no Rush and there Aftercare service is 2nd to none .

Just means having to pop along to there high street shop when you Book the Appointment for the Test .

Price Wise there very much on Par with other Retailers .
