Question on number of photos in a post

I went to a local car show Sunday and got tons of pics of some very unique and beautiful pre-1975 cars. Just for fun, I'd like to post a thread in the "Cars In General" forum with a lot of shots.

And I do mean a lot. I could put well over 50 great ones on there if its feasible.

Is there a practical limit to the number of shots you can post at one time? I know I'll have to put a "dial-up beware" warning on the thread title, but does the site have a limit to that sort of thing that I should observe? I've reduced the width of all of them to 600 pixels or less and done a lot of cropping, and the file size is down to around 60 KB each.

Another issue is how many shots ImageShack can handle, of course. I have quite a few on there already.

Any limitations I should be aware of?

There is a maximum of 100 images per post, but I'm not entirely sure if that's really the best way to share all those photos. If you've got a large album like that, it looks like using a real online photo service such as pbase or flickr would be much easier for everyone involved. It would be easier for you to upload and organize them, and much easier for all users to browse and look at them. :)

You don't actually need to crop or resize them... Imageshack will take an almost limitless number of photos into your account (sign-up is painless). (Just look at some of the Photogalleries here).

If you post with Imageshack thumbnails, no problem, you can fit those 100 pics in one post, but if you're posting full-size, a 56k warning would be nice. :)

Edit: I find Fokti to be very nice to work with. Here's the car show album:

Thanks again for the tip.
