Question regarding Mod Chip for PS2

From my understanding there are several variants of the Mod Chip available for the PS2.

My first question: Is there a Mod Chip that any of you would recommend?

And second: i heard that there is a type of Mod Chip available in the form of a memory card. This would mean that you do not have to open your PS2 to chip-it, you could just plug it in the memory slot, and take it out when you want. Is this true?

the person who told you that is an idiot. You can only boot homemade code off of the memovry card so it's worthless.

Expect a 21 wire installation with ANY ps2 chip out there as of now. I'd suggest using the Messiah 2, Magic 5, or DM3 - the DMS being the top of the list.

I'll do a search to get some more info. Im just trying to find out the difference between each one
