i just want to know what happened to the "BMW Virtua Drive" Thread !

I posted there and if that was not OK i want to say sorry and i will pay attention to this in the future.

I also startet a thread about a GT4-Chat and it seems to be erased too.

Did i get something wrong ?

It was absolutely harmless. Just wanted to know about the opinion of other members of this board !
 
Maybe because some members were posting details into how to acheive a certain demo via p2p which of course is against the rules.

you didn´t read what i said !

I understand that the thread about the BMW Virtual Demo was closed an erased.

But i started another thread and asked what the people here on the board would think about a chat !

Just a life-gt4-chat ! Nothing about illegal copies or p2p sharing !

And this thread was closed too ????
 
Sorry to inform but the moderators are cleaning up, the community is changing for the better. 👍
 
If theres a number of similar threads around, or if a thread serves no purpose then it will be either merged with an already existing thread, or removed.

Yep, so expect to see this hread closed and removed soon. Heres an idea for the mods, when you do delete a thread, because unlike closing one there is no reason given, why not PM the thread starter to let him/her know, it would help the newer people especially.

That is correct.

As for the chat thread, you're free to open up a chat channel of your liking and discuss GT4 to your hearts content. I misunderstood and took it to mean that you wanted that thread to become a "chat" thread about GT4.

Sorry for the confusion.

No thread on GTP has ever been deleted. They are stored in an inaccessible spot should there be a problem and the thread needs to be reviewed. So all those mistakes that people make, and get warned in, we can pull that up and have full reason to initiate any activity.

Yeah, lets dump more stupid crap they don't want to do into their laps. Bad idea, liveforspeed.

The thread was removed because it lacked any real purpose. It was blantly simply, not well thought or constructed and worse of al, the topic had no real interest to anyone here. Plus, there are plenty of places here already to talk about the BMW Demo. Find them, and make a post there. Don't take it as a personal attack. Learn to start better, more worthy threads next time.
 
i actually agree that gtplanet could do with an official irc channel, especially now that gt is going to have online play. We could easily meet up in the chatroom and set up races with gtp members.
It would prolly only work if it was an official gtp chan and there was a link to it on the site tho.

Sorry if there were allready existing threads with this question. And respect to "Der Alta" cause he gave fine explanations and i could learn from that.

And by the way:


Solid Lifters reply was what we in Germany call "Hirnwichse" (means cumshots out of your brain :-) )

But solid lifters seems to be the god of all Threads.

To give an end to the discussion:

I think the mods here are doing a great job and they manage to keep the board professional and clean. So it´s absolutely no prob if one of my threads is deleted, moved or whatever. I can´t expect to get an info about it. The mods sure allready have enough work.

Just wanted to know what kind of mistake i did ! And now i know !

So let´s keep on talking about GT4

I didn´t take it personal but you were talking rubbish about my thread and so i was forced to react (don´t take it personal, OK !)

Now what about GT4 ?

OK, this thread has run its course. alexsteffen, if you wish to open an IRC channel or an AIM chat room and post a link on the GT4 board, that will be fine. Thanks for asking why the threads were removed so you could learn more.
