Why are all complaint threads immediately locked?
There's a lot of snide comments made on this site. By members and mods. Maybe I'm just too old to be on this site, I don't know, but I don't get how a person can post legitimate posts and get slammed and then have the mods send you a warning for it when you stand up for yourself. lol
I'm just here to race and learn - the drama is kid stuff.

Because there is 500 billion of them. Also there all the same, One guy complains one guy says he's an idiot and should like the game, people take sides and they ALWAYS, ALWAYS end in a fight.

Also were. GT Fanboys and won't let people talk trash about our game :p

Complaints can be valid, but we don't need 20 generic complaint threads...add yours to the existing one. But there's always someone who takes things a step too far, that's also why they get locked. That's why we have rules...assuming everyone's a kid or an adult that has no social life is not really an argument at all. Too many rant threads go off tangent and become two users hitting each other with wiffle-ball bats.

Not everybody is a "fanboy" (do you really think a hot-button word like that isn't going to get a return flame?), not every mod is a "fanboy" (I don't really care about video games in general anymore, for example), and many members here would rather not waste time complaining, but instead help others in a constructive manner so they can navigate the imperfections that all types of games have.

Having a few two-post members just bitch about any game isn't useful to anyone at all. Having members help each other is useful, and that's the type of attitude we prefer to promote, rather than a wall of graffiti in which everyone tries to cram in their statement.

Also, please use a more specific title for a concern with GTPlanet.net, so that it makes sense or generates even a spark of interest to others. Newspapers and news websites don't use "Headline" or "Thing happened" for a topic of interest, they give a quick synopsis of what the information contained is about.

Comment suggestively on someone's girlfriend, insult them and then get a warning?!

Yea, how ridiculous.

Yeah after getting trashed for talking about an Alfa Romeo - yeah ridiculous to expect a retort, dude.

Okay, so you got a warning. A warning. That means you did something minor, and we'd appreciate it if you don't do it again.

Is this really worth complaining about publicly...at all?

If you feel you got 'trashed':

1) use the report button, or
2) play the ball, not the man. Attack his argument, not him.

Then stop making drama.

You made a thread in the GT5 Q&A forum which was neither a Q nor an A. Some people pointed this out - your response was "****". You VMed a member to insult him as a result of this, calling them a "ponce". You made a thread to complain about other members, calling them "douchebags" and telling them to "stfu". You swore again and then went out of your way to spell out an expletive by putting "to the" in between each letter.

Maybe you think you're also too old to read the Acceptable Use Policy - the one that, when you signed up to the site, you ticked a little box to say you'd read and agreed to it - but it still applies to you since you ticked a little box to say you'd read and agreed to it. Here's a reminder:

AUP
* You will not behave in an abusive and/or hateful manner, and will not harass, threaten, nor attack any individual or any group.
* You will not post or link to content that is obscene or sexually oriented.
* You will not use profanity in the forums, nor link to content which contains offensive language without sufficient warning.

If you think that the rules don't apply to you, you are sorely mistaken. If you think that standing up for yourself means insulting everyone around you and swearing, you are both sorely mistaken and less mature than your claimed years would suggest you should be. If you genuinely don't understand that someone pointing out that your thread is inappropriately placed is playing by the rules we all agreed to and you calling them a ponce, a douchebag, suggesting they date above their age bracket, telling them to stfu and swearing at them are not playing by the rules we all agreed to, there is little hope left in this world.

You've racked up enough offenses in just three messages to be banned. You received a warning to remind you that there are rules we all have to play by and you're complaining about it? Seriously?

People get out of GTPlanet what they put into it. What you've put into it so far can be done with a shovel and a clothes peg - it's very little surprise you haven't had a good experience so far. Amend your attitude to posting and towards other members and remind yourself of the AUP.
