How do I turn my ps2 on?

Are you serious? You have over 260 posts, most of them in the GT3 forum, and it'd only be natural to conclude that if you know that much about GT3, you must know where the on switch is on your PS2.

Oh..i see. You had it on, but put in into hibernation all the time. Then, a friend comes over and turns it off by accident, and you forgot.

It's a switch in the back, over top of the power plug. Press the higher-end down. This will turn the hibernation light on. Then..press the power button..it shall go from red to green.

umm.... the switch on the back turns it on and off...

if you cant find one, take your ps2 back to the shop you got it from as it is faulty.

Have a look on the back of your PS2

All I see on the back is a powercord, av cords, and a place to put a phone jack, the back is covered with lines like a huge vent in the back.

Is the power on at the socket that it's plugged in to?

Do you have a wee red light on the front?

Do you have a 2 year old little brother/sister that could turn it on for you?

he's either joshing us, or someone else set it up for him..

with your ps2 laying flat (horizontal) and facing towards you, you will find the switch on the back in the top left hand corner.
